Wonderful to be back at Ataahua Garden Venue on Saturday. After 2 weeks of rain, T and N got SUN! A beautifully planned wedding with lots of family involvement, including me! I got to stay as a guest for the whole evening and celebrate with the very happy newlyweds. Fantastic job by Abby and her crew. We all had the most amazing night. xx

Gorgeous bright flowers for a wonderfully kind and resilient woman (with a fantastic sense of humour). The beautiful words below popped into my inbox the day after M's family farewelled their much-loved centenarian.
"Hi Wendy, please accept a massive thank you from all our family for yesterday.
You helped make for an exceptional send off for our Nanna and we appreciate your time and effort understanding what K and I were looking for.
We couldn’t have imagined it any other way."

In between helping many families farewell their loved ones in their own way, their have been a few weddings. Last Tuesday's inntiamte ceremony was very special and was very kindly hosted by Gender Dynamix (Historic Village). The following bounced into my inbox the next day.

Your great sense of humour plus the time you took to make our commitment our own.

Two people in love and two awesome witnesses is all it takes for an incredibly romantic seaside elopement. Two weeks ago, in the late afternoon, Katherine and Mike wandered down the main Mt Maunganui Beach to the rocks under Mauao to exchange powerfully honest, gently humorous, and deeply heartfelt vows - witnessed only by my husband, the amazing Rochelle of Pure Images Photography and the pounding surf. Coming together from opposite sides of the world Mr and Mrs Konise have a bond stronger than even Mike's powerful arms.

The most gorgeous wedding yesterday at Black Walnut Venue. I always knew Ashleigh would look stunning when she walked up the aisle on her dad's arm, but even I was stunned. Not as much as her groom though who was more than than lost for words. In front of awesome family and fabulous friends, Ashleigh and Dylan exchanged secret vows (handwritten into gorgeous booklets). Only the photographers' work could do justice to how amazing the bride and groom looked so have to wait for those. Hope the night went off perfectly Mr and Mrs H.

What better way to start a week than by getting married. By 9.40 this morning K and P were Mr. and Mrs. A short and sweet but personal ceremony, with my ever loyal husband and lovely neighbour Liz as witnesses. Can't wait to be able to post a photo - both bride and groom are serious gym-goers. They looked incredible. Pad K - hope you've had a great day celebrating.

Life has been uber-busy but I have to share this amazing project. The background written by Eva. . .

"One of the most beautiful and valuable memories of ours are the few hours we spent together when we walked towards Orokawa Bay on Jan, 29th, 2015, where you celebrated the Renewal of our Vows for and together with us. One thing we wanted to share is this project in Austria, "Memory of Mankind" [MoM, https://www.memory-of-mankind.com/ ]. The idea is to keep memories (without judging the relevance) in the form of images or text which are burned onto ceramic plates and then stored in the historic salt mines above Hallstatt. We worked on our renewal of vows until we came up with some lines that were felt from the heart. And this is what we are trying to preserve here . . . "

I LOVE this idea and I can visualise exactly where the plates are stored - we visited Hallstatt on our honeymoon. Stunning!
