A late update but still important to share!

🎃 Turning Point Halloween 2025! 🕸️

What an awesome day of spooky fun in Te Whare Toi!
We had games like Mystery Box and Pin the Spider on the Web, plenty of laughs, and some frightfully good costumes! 👻🕷️

It was great to see everyone getting involved — from creative costumes to helping decorate the space and bringing that Turning Point energy and aroha into the day. 💜

Ngā mihi to everyone who joined in and made it such a fun celebration!

Manaaki tangata whai ora 💚

It’s that time again — Turning Point’s annual elections are just around the corner!
Every year, we come together to nominate and vote for our committee members, helping guide the direction and kaupapa of our community for the year ahead. 🌿

If you know someone who represents our values and mahi, put their name forward!
🗓️ Nominations close on 24th November
🕚 Voting and AGM: 24th November at 11am
🍔 Followed by a shared BBQ lunch

✨ Please note: every nomination must be supported by another member.

We are thrilled to have Awhimai Brown, a Mataora Navigator from Ngāti Kahu Hauora, coming into Turning Point to support our kaupapa with talk therapy. Here is Awhimai's introduction in her own words:

I feel privileged to soon be working from the Turning Point space on Wednesdays, starting 5th November in my role as a Mataora Navigator under Ngāti Kahu Hauora. I will be providing talk therapy/whitiwhiti kōrero and look forward to meeting many people. For those that would like to talk confidentially, please reach out. There will be a booking system available. Recently gaining Provisional Membership with APANZ (Association of Psychotherapists Aotearoa NZ) as a Psychotherapy Practitioner.
