As we once again find ourselves in Level Two here’s a little reminder of how we’re keeping you safe and what we expect of our customers:

~ Most importantly: If you feel unwell please call us to rearrange your appointment. If you turn up to your massage unwell, we will not be able to treat you.

~ High hygiene standards have always been a number one priority in the studio and moving through levels 1-2 this will be no different!

~ Please scan the QR code as you enter the studio and make sure bluetooth on your COVID tracer app is turned ON!

~ Please hand sanitize as soon as you arrive. This is located directly next to the QR code.

As before, we remain open at Level Two. We are working alongside government guidelines and we will only be closing should we move to alert Levels Three or Four.

Most importantly...this is a reminder that we need to stay vigilant as a population. Please be safe, look after one another and show tolerance and kindness in these stressful and unusual times.

We’re all trying to live as healthy a life as possible. We exercise, eat a balanced diet, focus on good quality sleep, whilst not forgetting fitting in the rest of our lives; demanding (or multiple) jobs, family life, stressful bosses and money issues to mention only a few!

Unfortunately modern life makes the majority of our bodies move into and stay in a sympathetic state (our fight or flight mode). Being in this state triggers our bodies stress response, and ups our adrenal response. This can lead to feelings of anxiety, depression and other psychological problems. Unfortunately, a lot of people stay in this state for a prolonged period of time = not good
~
So where does massage play a part in this? Multiple studies have shown that regular massage can lower cortisol levels, increase dopamine and serotonin (our feel good, happy hormones) and lower excitatory hormones like norepinephrine and epinephrine (or adrenaline to you and me!)
~
Making time for a massage - even 30mins once a month if your short on time or money. Can have an amazing effect on your health, but one thing to remember - the more your body receives massage, the more the deeper and more effective a massage becomes. Some of my clients are on the ball with putting their health first, and forward book many massage treatments for the coming months. This makes sure that it’s locked in the diary and other appointments and commitments have to work around it!
