Happy New Year, hope it’s off to a beautiful start to 2024 for you all ✨ We’re enjoying the summer weather we’ve been waiting such a long time for!
It’s our first day back in the apothecary, getting back into our rhythm. It’s been lovely to see some of your faces already today. If we’re not in the shop you’ll find us in the garden under the plum tree in the shade 😆

On this last day of trading for 2023 we both - Megan and Diane (and Stella and Maple) would like to thank everyone who has supported our little business this year. We’re grateful you have chosen to work with us to support your health and wellbeing and wish you all a restful and peace filled Christmas time. May the new year bring abundance and joy. And fun… we could do with more fun!🤩

I’m sharing today’s apothecary flowers 💐 not very Christmasy but very pretty. This is our last week in the shop for the year… we close on Thursday 21st, and will reopen on Tuesday 9th January.
There’s still time to stock up on summer essentials and what better gifts than those that support health naturally - check out our photos for some inspiration 🥰

It’s a giveaway day today 🤩
Thanks to one of our amazing gardening friends who has grown more seedlings than he can cope with, we have some beautiful healthy plants to give away!

NZ spinach, broccoli (De Cicco, main head then small sprouts), cauliflower (grows all year round), NZ Spinach (sprawls and grows for ages), and Borage for the bees 🐝
Pop in store and collect some 🌱

Our little and often harvests are in full spring swing… if you could only smell the Thyme and Lemon balm! I felt like lying in amongst them 😆unlike the Nettle harvested soon after! Today we’ve gathered Calendula and Yarrow as well. The apothecary smells divine and today’s wee posy from the garden is contributing to it. It’s a pretty sweet place to be 🌿🌸🥰

Feeling so blessed, grateful and excited to have attended this amazing event last night! Thankyou so much to the wonderful team for our ticket win and the opportunity to mix and mingle and meet Zach Bush and the wonderful speakers. Can’t wait to read Nicole’s book!
We honour our deepening connection as part of nature 🌱
Our intention is that our work supports those we connect with in their awareness and recognition of this innate need too.

Nettle…. Beautiful spring greens! We love using and recommending nettle as tea and tincture, but using it fresh as food is so wonderful if you have nettles in your garden 🌿

Today’s delicious pesto is made from fresh nettles, parsley, nasturtium, ribwort, NZ spinach, dandelion and lemon juice, nutritional yeast, walnuts, salt and olive oil. No recipe, just wing it. Dairy and gluten free, and so delicious 😋

We have top quality spray free local avocados again, and should have a steady supply from now on 🥑 🙌
I have promised the grandchildren these delicious ice blocks yum yum. I love Emma Galloway’s recipes…
2 large ripe avocados
400ml can coconut cream
4 tbsp honey
Juice of 1/2 lime (I’ll try lemon)
Blend all together til smooth and freeze in ice block moulds. Makes 12.
Roll on ice block weather ☀️😎

Due to popular demand we’re extending our tea special for next week 🫖
We’ll have tea tasting again too. Refill packs usually $17, now $12. The calendula harvest is well under way from our gardens and these vibrant healing lovelies feature in some of our tea blends. We look forward to seeing you 🫖🌿🌼
