NEW: Mums & Bubs Pilates Class

After many requests we are finally launching Mums & Bubs Pilates at MYM. Our wonderful teacher Suzy (who has a 9 week old) is excited to be taking these classes.
🗓 Wednesdays
⏰ 2.30–3.30pm
📅 5-week block starting 11th February
💰 $100 total
This class is:
✔️ Low-impact + supportive
✔️ Designed for postnatal bodies
✔️ Baby-friendly (feed, cuddle, settle as needed)
✔️ A chance to move and connect with other mums

Meet Pia 🌿

We’re so excited to introduce the newest member of our teaching team, Pia!

Pía was born in the south of Chile, where her love for movement began through rhythmic gymnastics. After moving to New Zealand in 2019 with a backpack full of dreams, her path eventually led her to Pilates.

In 2021, she was diagnosed with lateral patellar compression syndrome in both knees. Through discipline, consistency, and four Reformer classes a week, she not only regained full function but also discovered her passion for mindful movement. Inspired by her own recovery, Pia decided to train as an instructor so she could help others experience the same transformation.

📚 Training:
• 2023 – STOTT Reformer Training (Essential & Intermediate)
• 2025 – BASI Pilates Mat Work Teacher Training (in progress)

🌱 Beyond the studio, Pia is a nature lover who enjoys trekking, camping, and nurturing plants through propagation.

We can’t wait for you to experience her energy, knowledge, and care in class.

You’ll see Pía around the studio over the next couple of weeks getting to know our community.

Member of the Month - Meet Jane.

When Jane first stepped into the Pilates studio six weeks ago, she arrived with a full list of niggles—sore hips, a tight lower back, an upper back that refused to budge, and a left shoulder that crept all the way into her neck. She was feeling very old.

But after 6 weeks of consistent Pilates the changes have been remarkable, her back and hips no longer ache and Jane was surprised at how quickly the changes in her body occurred.
