🌺 ANZAC Day - Clinic Hours Notice

As we approach ANZAC Day, we take this time to acknowledge and honour those who have served our country with courage and sacrifice.

Please note that all Tolbecs Ear Clinics will be closed on Monday 27 April in observance of the public holiday.

We currently have appointments available across our clinics in the days leading into the long weekend. If you are experiencing discomfort, reduced hearing, or ongoing ear concerns, we encourage you to arrange an appointment prior to the closure.

Ever heard your heartbeat in your ear?
Not just ringing… but a whooshing, pulsing sound that matches your pulse?
That could be pulsatile tinnitus.

It’s one of those things people often ignore or brush off… but it’s actually quite different from typical tinnitus. Instead of a constant ringing, it’s rhythmic, in time with your heartbeat.

Sometimes it’s something simple, like earwax or pressure changes.

But other times, it can be linked to blood flow changes or underlying medical conditions, which is why it’s important to get it checked.

At Tolbecs Ear Clinic, we see this more often than you’d think and the first step is always the same: a proper ear assessment.

Te Awamutu…Tolbecs Ear Clinic Has Arrived 👂

We’re excited to share that Tolbecs Ear Clinic has officially taken over Ear Care Waikato, located at 160 Mahoe Street in Te Awamutu.

Tolbecs is a proud Waikato healthcare provider and we are incredibly honoured to have recently been recognised as:

Our goal is simple, to provide fast, professional ear care locally for the Te Awamutu community.

Our clinic is run by an experienced Registered Nurse Prescriber, meaning we can assess and treat many ear conditions directly in clinic, including infections and blocked ears.

We are also able to provide grommet checks, glue ear management, and when required we can refer patients directly to ENT specialists at the hospital.

Services we provide include:

• Microsuction ear wax removal

• Ear infection assessment and treatment

• Foreign body removal from the ear

• Grommet checks

• Glue ear management

• Ear health assessments and clinical advice

• Hearing aid ear wax management

As we head into the Christmas and New Year period, we want to let our community know that Tolbecs will be closed from 12pm on Tuesday 23 December, reopening Thursday 8 January.
Before we take a short break, we want to pause and say thank you.

This year has been an incredible one for Tolbecs. We have been humbled to receive multiple Most Trusted awards at local, regional and national levels, along with Service Excellence 2025, recognition that belongs just as much to our patients and community as it does to our team. 🎄 Christmas Wish Trees Now Displayed at Hamilton East and Rototuna Clinics 🎄

Tolbecs is proud to support Kids in Need Waikato, an organisation doing exceptional work for vulnerable tamariki and rangatahi across our region.
Our Christmas Wish Trees are now in place at both our Hamilton East and Rototuna sites.

Each tree holds individual tags, each representing a child and their Christmas wish.
We invite our community to participate by:
🎄 Selecting a tag from the tree
🌲 Purchasing the gift noted
🎄 Returning the unwrapped gift with the tag attached
🎄 Placing it beneath the tree at either clinic

Every item donated goes directly to a child in need within the Waikato, ensuring they receive something chosen just for them.
