Hi everyone!

I’m putting together a formal application to Waikato dhb regarding my current job as a rural lactation consultant.

As part of that, some testimonies from past clients and health professionals I have worked with would be really useful.
Some things that could be included would be how you found my care provided to you, if the service was helpful for your breastfeeding journey, how the communication was, collaborative care between yourself and I (if you were the referrer) etc

Meeting tomorrow 11th August 2021. Come along and join us for a great discussion and learn some new information. We will be chatting about the challenges of breastfeeding for Mum and Baby - how to identify issues - technicques and strategies to overcome them - and ways to avoid them in the first place.
We'll look at engorgement, over supply, under supply and mastitis along with many more. This is a meeting for everyone. Look forward to seeing you and your little one tomorrow.

Who I am...

Hi everyone!

Thought I should introduce myself :)

I'm Larissa! I've been a midwife now for 6 years, and have worked as an independent midwife and in both primary and tertiary units/hospitals. I developed a passion for breastfeeding so decided to study to become a lactation consultant, which I qualified in December 2018. I now continue to work as a midwife and offer lactation consultant services in the Waikato.
