This Weekend is all about Study Focus! Doing my 2nd Masters Degree. 2004 graduated in Masters of Matauranga Maori under Pro. Whatarangi Winiata, Pakeke Winiata and Ruka Broughton. My Supervisor then was Dr Rose Pere (Aunty) and Examiners were OBM Rutene Irwin and Te Hōhepa Kereopa.
2022 is my last year in Masters of Applied Indigenous Knowledge to complete the Exegesis by October. My Supervisor is Dr Peetikuia Wainui and Indigenous Master Practitioner is Margaret (Midge) Goldsmith. Supported by Dr Terita Papesch. This month I have achieved the five interviewees and now it's do the transcripts this weekend which will be my chapter three. Chapter One and Two are examined and done.
My kaupapa is Tupapakurau Rongā and it's about the preserving of our loved ones not limited to the moana but to our soils etc... Reviving this source is important not only to Maori but for all NZers. This is my role within my hapu and connecting with Ngati Hine I am running Waananga there. The encouragement does not sit with iwi but with hapū because only hapu can keep the tikanga of Tupapakurau Rongā alive.
June and July is complete Chapter Three.
August is complete Chapter Four
September/October is Chapter Five (Taonga Tuku Iho)
