We’re excited to showcase the stunning creations from our talented Life Stylers at the Artsider and OriginalWorx spaces! 🖼️

✨ Each taonga is unique, bursting with creativity and meaning—artworks that deserve to be seen, shared, and valued by our whole community.

✨ Kua roa tātou e kōrero ana mō te Māori Caucus i te Trust, and for the meantime I’ve given this space the name — Te Rito o Te Whare (the heart of the house).

🤝 This first hui brought us together as Māori kaimahi to shape what this space may look like, feel like, and stand for.

🌟 Lise has been stoked to step into this role as Kaihautū for Te Rito o Te Whare. He honore nui tēnei māku, kia mahi ngātahi tātou mō te kaupapa nei.

Held at the📍 Kauaeranga DOC Centre.

🪶 What: A kaupapa day of whakawhanaungatanga, kōrero, kai and mahi toi.

• Morning: whakawhanaungatanga + kōrero about what this whare needs to hold�

• Afternoon: mahi toi (Whare Hau Ako style) to create our “end statements”�

• Closing: share back the art + reflections. This fed into our draft kaupapa statement for Te Rito o Te Whare.

Sean enjoyed his camping trip ⛺ to Otautu Bay, Colville–Coromandel. Sean stayed two nights 🛏️ in the Homestead in the centre of Otautu Bay just metres from the beach 🌊. We walked on the sandy beach 🏖️, picking up sticks for Sean’s garden 🪴 at home as we went along. Sean asked when we could go on holiday ✈️ again as we were driving home 🚗 after our relaxing time away.
