Fun Fact Friday ✨️ Sulphur-based antimicrobial drugs were introduced in the late 1930s and paved the way for modern antibiotics - saving thousands of lives, especially during World War II.

At Hell’s Gate, the waters of the Medicine Lake (pictured) have been used by local Māori for generations to treat a range of ailments, particularly skin and arthritic conditions.
