Thanks so much Kirsty for joining us and thanks heaps for the funding that enables us to provide these programmes

This week, Kirsty joined one of the PINC & STEEL cancer rehabilitation classes to see and hear first-hand just how life‑changing this support is for people rebuilding their strength and confidence after cancer.

From individual sessions to group classes, their programmes help people regain independence, reduce long-term impacts of treatment, and reconnect with their lives, families, and communities.

Providing this support costs less than a week’s groceries per person, yet the impact is immeasurable. 💛

We are incredibly proud that through the South Canterbury Health Endowment Fund and generous funding from the Bidwill Hospital Trust, we can help make this essential rehabilitation accessible in our region.

The Friendly Professional: Meet Evie! 🩺☕
The introductions continue! As we keep shining a light on the wonderful people behind our clinic, it’s time for you to get to know one of our newest fantastic physios, Evie.

Evie joined our physio team a few months ago and has been a breath of fresh air ever since. If you’ve met her, you know she brings a perfect blend of expertise and a fun-loving personality to the clinic. In her own words, her daily routine consists of "drinking coffee and doing some physio"—a summary that perfectly captures her approachable and down-to-earth nature!

A little more about Evie:
What truly drives her is the "why" behind the work. She loves being a firsthand witness to her patients' progress, watching them regain their strength and get back to doing what they love.

When she’s off the clock:

Active Weekends: You’ll likely spot her out for a refreshing run or walk, followed (of course) by another coffee.
Travel Dreams: She has her sights set on exploring the vibrant cultures of India and Africa.
Night Owl Life: Unlike our early-bird Pilates crew, Evie is a total night owl.

We are so lucky to have her energy in the clinic!

What if your Monday night workout could change someone's life? 👟🌿

On March 30th, Timaru is coming together for Good Energy - an evening dedicated to health, nutrition, and heart.

We aren't just here to learn from Kate Ivey and the Two Raw Sisters or get our heart rates up; we are here to bridge the gap in cancer care. Currently, many New Zealanders finish their cancer treatment and are left wondering, "What now?"

The Cancer Rehabilitation Foundation provides the answer through PINC & STEEL physio-led rehab. By being in the room at Caroline Bay Hall, you are literally funding someone’s recovery journey.

Let’s fill the hall and show the power of our community!

March is Rare Disorders Month in Aotearoa. But today is Rare Disease Day!

While we spend much of our time treating "horses" (common sports injuries or back strains), our clinic is a dedicated space for the "zebras" too, sometimes we even have "unicorms".

Conditions like Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), CRPS, and rare neuromuscular disorders require more than just a standard exercise sheet. They require a physio who understands connective tissue hypermobility, nervous system dysregulation, and the "invisible" nature of chronic pain.

If you’ve been searching for a practitioner who "gets it," we’re here to listen, validate, and help you navigate your unique recovery/wellness journey.

You aren't just a diagnosis—you are more than you can imagine. 💪✨

New Year, New Leader! 🥂

We have so many amazing physios, admin staff, and instructors to show off, so over the next few months, we’re putting them in the spotlight.

We’re starting with Simone, who officially became our Pilates Studio Manager at the end of last year! Simone is the heart of our studio—she’s passionate about movement and dedicated to making sure every client leaves feeling stronger than they arrived.

A few fun facts:
When she isn’t at the studio, she’s likely soaking up the beauty of the Marlborough Sounds or planning her dream trip to Japan. She’s a dedicated early bird who starts every morning with a quiet cup of tea before the hustle begins.

Feel stronger, move better, live more. ✨

If you’ve been thinking about starting a movement routine but aren’t sure where to begin, our Worxk class is the perfect place to start.

We specialize in supporting those who are new to exercise or returning after a long break. This isn't a high-impact "gym" environment—it’s a welcoming, instructor-led space designed for long-term health and vitality.

What is the Worxk Class?
It’s a guided training that builds the strength you need for everyday life. Our highly trained instructors focus on:

Balance & Coordination: Helping you stay steady and confident.

Functional Power: Making daily tasks (like lifting or gardening) easier.

Joint Support: Building the muscles that protect your knees, back, and hips.

No experience necessary. Just a supportive environment to help you reach your goals.
