From 🌟1 February 2026🌟, some people with stable, long‑term health conditions may be able to get prescriptions that last up to 12 months instead of 3.
Your prescriber will decide if this is right and safe for you, and it does not apply to controlled drugs.
Even with a 12‑month prescription, we can only give you up to 3 months’ supply at a time, and your repeats need to be collected from the same pharmacy.
If you usually pay a prescription fee (for example $5), you’ll still pay this on the first supply of each medicine.
If you’re unsure whether this applies to you, have a chat with your prescriber – and if you have any questions, come and see us or give us a call.
