Uawa Tiaki Tai is a community organisation that relies on the support of others (often voluntarily) to continue to function. We have created this page to generate more support both locally, regionally, nationally and internationally from those of our whanau who live here and abroad and to encourage everyone to get in behind us and support our kaupapa. We want to build Uawa Tiaki Tai into a self sustaining community focused club that assists in the health and safety of our whanau in the water! We've gotten off to a good start by utilising the legacy left for us by those who were involved from the early days such as Ray Dever and others. Nowadays the club is being run by Kerehama Blackman, Regan Fairlie, Jeremy Lockwood and Peter Boyd with the help of other community members.
