There are certain days during the summer when the last place anyone wants to be is in a hot kitchen. But that's when kids can come to the rescue, making a delicious dessert for the whole family without ever having to ask their parents to turn on the oven.

There’s Nothing Fishy about Fish Oil

We’ve all heard about the health benefits in fish oil, which can be easily taken in capsule or liquid supplement form. Taking fish oil gives you more Omega-3 fatty acids, as well as often containing Vitamin A, C, D, or other valuable ingredients.
Fish oil can easily be taken in capsule or liquid supplement form.
Some of the amazing effects fish oil has been found to have are:
• Enhancing your immune system
• Boosting your memory
• Reducing inflammation
• Decreasing risk of certain cancers
• Improving bone health
• Improving the look of hair and skin
• Reducing the risk of heart disease
• Helping eye conditions such as glaucoma and macular degeneration

Our bodies simply cannot produce Omega-3 oils on their own, and we need to supplement that by eating fish or taking fish oil. Frying it seems to reduce the nutritional benefits. The alternative is a molecularly distilled fish oil supplement with no heavy metals.
How Do I Know What the Good Ones Are?
The quality of fish oil supplements is greatly varied, and you must be sure that it is a high-quality fish oil supplement you’re taking. So many vitamins bought off the shelf can be low quality and may not give your body what it needs. The two main fatty acids in fish oil are EPA and DHA. Your supplement should have:

• A minimum of 500 milligrams combined of EPA and DHA
• Third-party test results on the supplement’s label
• No fishy smell or taste; this could mean it has gone bad
• Certification that only non-endangered fish species were used

If you follow these four guidelines, your fish oil will provide you with all the valuable benefits that Omega-3 oils offer.

Our bodies are around 70% water and water is critical to our survival. Water also has a very important part to play in the maintenance of our vibratory or energetic health. Water is not only able to hold vibration but able to deliver it directly to our cells, thereby changing and working at the energetic and subtle levels of the body with efficiency - one of the reasons why the essences I work with are so effective. This all makes sense when we understand that we are in the Age of Aquarius which has also been called the Age of Cherishing Waters.
How can you work with water to cherish yourself?
Do you need to drink more water? To go for a swim, take a walk alongside a stream or lake? Perhaps a cleansing bath with sea salt or epsom salts? Or maybe a flower or crystal essence blend to support your journey?
Dr Masaru Emoto in his book: The Hidden Messages in Water, details the impact of words via speech, chanting and the written word on water molecules. He found that loving words resulted in beautiful snowflake-like molecules whereas negative harsh words resulted in incomplete fragmented molecules. Remembering that everything is vibration, thoughts about oneself will impact upon all the water within you and within your cells. What are you thinking? Are your thoughts kind and loving or negative and harsh?

You can work with water easily in your everyday simply by energizing or infuse with intention. Take a glass of water and send your prayers or attention to the water. Or you could energize it by putting a written prayer or intention under a jug or glass.

Are you breathing?
"Of course I am", you respond, "otherwise I wouldn't be here."

Yes it is true that you are breathing, however rather than breathing through the nose and down into the diaphragm, many of us breathe shallowly or mouth breathe. This way of breathing puts our nervous system on red alert and gets the stress response going, Our heart rate increases, we go into flight/fight reponse and our muscles tense in readiness to fight for our lives.

Take a moment now to reverse this cycle by breathing three times in the following way:
• Breathe in through your nose,
• Hold for a count of 4
• Then exhale for a count of 6 - 8 (this can be through your nose or your mouth) make sure you get all the air out of your lungs
• Breathe in again as above for another 2 breaths.

This is a simple and effective exercise to do before a 'hard' meeting, when you notice you have moved away from your centre or you are in fear. Or you could just do it all the time!

Take a minute and look at these two pictures…

If you’re a man, be honest. What do you think of her figure? If you’re being honest and you’re like most men, you’re attracted to her hourglass shape.
If you’re a woman, and you’re being honest with yourself, you’re attracted to his v-taper.
It has its basis in survivability and is hard wired into the most primitive part of our brain. Neuro-anatomists call it the “reptilian brain.”
You have other areas of your brain that can moderate your reptilian brain, but your most basic needs are still hardwired in there. If you want to be attractive to the opposite s*x, this is something you should know, and something you can act on if you decide that’s what you want.
Problem is, getting and keeping those body features that are most attractive is downright tough in the modern world.
And, all the mainstream advice on how to get them misses the point. Those misguided notions have you focus on working the muscles of the midsection. But that can’t give you an hourglass figure or a masculine “V” taper.
So today I’m going to give you a simple step you can take to make yourself more attractive to the opposite s*x and get those features.
First, you can’t reduce fat in a certain spot. Fat doesn’t work that way. If you seem to lose abdominal fat after a few weeks of doing those gruesome sit-ups and crunches it’s because you’ve lost fat everywhere else at the same rate.
In one study on this, they put people on a rigorous abdominal exercise training program for 27 days. Each person had to do at least 5,000 sit-ups total.
Researchers tested fat from their abdomens, buttocks and upper backs before and after. The fat decreased by similar amounts in all three places, not just in the abdominal region.1
Which sounds ok, except doing 5,000 sit-ups is not a good idea. They create a Vasalva maneuver. That’s where you bear down and try to exhale with a closed mouth and nose so that no air gets out. Like if you plug your nose and mouth when you sneeze.
The Vasalva maneuver impedes the return of blood to the heart. It’s not good for your blood pressure or circulation to your head. People have busted blood vessels in their eyes doing sit-ups.
Plus, the abdominal muscles are too small to burn a lot of fat by themselves. Concentrate on exercising the biggest muscles. Leg muscles do a tremendous amount of work while you exert yourself. This helps your body burn off fat faster than with any other muscle group.
One of the best ways to do use your legs to trim belly fat off is with the “Triple Step.” It uses alternating elbow to knee movement. This incorporates the “sit-up” movement but standing up, and with the rest of your body moving too.
1. To begin, stand with your feet shoulder width apart and your hands by your sides.
2. Raise your arms, with elbows at a 90 degree angle, fists pointing upwards.
3. Raise your left knee to your right elbow.
4. As you lower your leg, take two hop steps to the left.
5. Stop and raise your right knee to your left elbow – and as you lower your leg, take two hop steps to the right.
6. Repeat until you are slightly out of breath.
Recover, and do two more sets with slightly increasing intensity. Focus on your intensity, so you can be in control. If you get to your peak heart rate after the second set, you’ve gone beyond your current level of conditioning.
Also, remember to breathe out as you engage your abdominals, so you don’t do a Vasalva maneuver.
