𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭
𝑹𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒏𝒆𝒄𝒕 & 𝑹𝒆𝒏𝒆𝒘: 𝑺𝒆𝒍𝒇-𝑪𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝑷𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒆

As the weekend approaches, your body might be asking for a softer rhythm and a little more space to breathe. This simple Ortho-Bionomy inspired pause helps your nervous system settle and reconnect with a felt sense of ease.

Step 1: Find your comfortable position
Sit or lie down in a way that feels supported, not “correct”. Let your weight be held by the chair, couch, or floor. Notice where your body naturally wants to rest today.

Step 2: Rest your hands
Place one hand on your chest and the other on your lower ribs or belly. Allow your hands to be light, as if they are simply listening. Sense the warmth, the contact, and any small movements under your palms.

Step 3: Follow your natural breath
Without changing anything, notice how your breath is moving. Is it deeper on the in-breath or the out-breath? Does one side of your ribcage feel more available than the other? Let your breath gently widen into the areas that already feel a little easier.

Step 4: Add a tiny comfort adjustment
Very slowly, make a small adjustment toward more comfort:
• A slight tilt of your head where it feels “ah, that’s nicer”
• Bringing a cushion under your knees or behind your back
• Softening your jaw or letting your shoulders drop a little more
Pause there and give your body time to receive this new, more comfortable position.

Step 5: Notice the shift
Stay for a few breaths and notice if anything has changed: your heart rate, muscle tone, or overall sense of being “here”. Even the smallest shift is meaningful. This is your system reorganising itself when it is met with kindness instead of pressure.

𝑾𝒆𝒆𝒌𝒆𝒏𝒅 𝒊𝒏𝒗𝒊𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏: take 3–5 minutes for this practice and let your body show you how it wants to reconnect and renew. Your natural self-healing responses are always present; they just need moments of quiet attention to come forward.

“After my last session with you I immediately felt more grounded, though it was as if my body was a little unsure of staying connected to that so it felt a little strange.
In the following days I’ve noticed that I feel more open and less tense. My chest area specifically has had the sensation of trying to expand and ease into itself with my shoulders drawing back. I’ve also noticed that a lot of the cracking that I previously had been able to do in my knuckles and neck haven’t been happening as much, however as time goes on that has been returning.
Mentally I’ve also observed that I’ve been able to show myself more love and compassion as opposed to the hard time I often give myself with shifting my body around.

I believe we are Connected to and Influenced by everything on a physical, mental, emotional and spiritual level and at times these connections can feel magical. Being connected means for me Acceptance and remaining open to what is in a Safe, non-judgmental and transparent Environment.

To be connected we all need to feel Grounded and Balanced in our surroundings which enables us to Engage, Create and Love as our natural state of Being.
