The Natural Health Clinic I use muscle testing to help identify your hidden blocks to health & wellbeing. These blocks may be Please look at my website for further information.

At The Natural Health Clinic I use muscle testing to find the areas of weakness in the body. This is achieved by using muscle testing to perform a full body scan which includes all organs, glands, joints & any areas of pain by gently touching reflexes on the surface of the body. Through muscle testing we then identify which of these weakened areas is the priority to deal with & what could be the underlying cause of this weakness using the 6 most common stressors. What are the six most common stressors?

1) Food allergies
2) Immune challenges -fungal, viral, bacterial & parasites
3) Heavy metals
4) Chemical toxicity
5) Scars & other interference fields - these block energy flow
6) Nutritional deficiencies - the organ/gland is lacking nutrients for optimal functioning

Based on these findings we use muscle testing to design a individualised nutritional program using natural organic supplements & lifestyle changes. When the underlying causes are identified & removed the body is then more able to heal itself. https://biotrace.co.nz/

✨🩵 The reason I love what I do…

One of my teenage clients came in about five to six months ago struggling with:

• huge anxiety that would come in extreme episodes but was also there chronically
• massive fatigue
• “weird” tingling and numbness in their hands (their word)
• frustration, because they weren’t doing anything particularly bad
• and despite being on anxiety medication, they were still struggling just to get through the day

There wasn’t much joy in life at that point — just coping.
It was affecting their social life, their confidence, and their hope of being able to function well in a workplace soon.

In their words, they were feeling annoyed and genuinely confused about why their body just wasn’t cooperating.

👉Fast forward to now.
I asked how things feel compared to when they first started.

Here’s exactly what they said:

💗“I have way more energy and less anxiety. Any stress I have is from normal things and easy to manage and get out of. The tingling in my hands only happens if I don’t have electrolytes.”💗🙌

And when I asked how they felt about their progress, the answer was simply:

“Stoked.”
(typical young person response 😂)

What I love about this work — Nutrition Response Testing, muscle testing, and kinesiology — is that we could hone in on exactly what their body needed to create these changes. 💚🩵

No guessing. No one-size-fits-all plans.

When people commit to their program, make the diet changes needed to support their healing, and turn up consistently to their appointments, their progress can be life-changing. 💫🩷

Follow-up visits matter because they let us watch how your body is responding — what’s improving, what isn’t yet, and what needs adjusting so you keep moving forward. 🩵✨

It is such a pleasure to watch people’s whole body light up as their health, their energy, their confidence, and their quality of life improves — and their health is no longer holding them back. 🌺💚✨

✨This shapes your health as much as what you put on your plate.✨

We all know the usual health advice: move more, eat better, take your supplements.
But there’s something else that affects your health that you might be overlooking:

👉 Your own negative self-talk.🫣

If your inner voice spends the day muttering, “I’m stuck,” “nothing’s working,” or “why can’t I get it together,” your body reacts - and not in a good way.🥴

It’s like feeding your nervous system a mind toxin — stress hormones go up, inflammation increases, digestion tightens, and your energy crashes.

Think about it like this - when you wake from a nightmare with your heart racing — it wasn't real, you just imagined it, BUT your body responded as if it were REAL immediately.

✨Your daily self-criticism does the same thing.
It alters your biochemistry too!

You don’t need to be endlessly cheerful or pretend everything’s fine when it's not.
You just need to notice when you’re slipping into that negative self talk loop again & redirect your attention onto something else.💗

Your body reacts very differently to:
➡️ “I’m stuck, nothing’s working,”
versus
➡️ “I’m improving, even if it’s slow. As my body feels better, the pace will improve.”

We can change our habits from self defeating to self healing and empowering💜💙

If you'd like, I can do an even tighter or slightly funnier version with humour that feels more “you.”

✨When the body leads the way ✨

Working with someone recently reminded me why I love combining everything I do — Nutrition Response Testing™, Health Kinesiology, and my Medical Science background.💗

When you blend them, the body often shows the fastest path back to balance.

👉This client had started reacting to foods she’d always tolerated — yoghurt, black tea, blueberries, walnuts.😮
Each time she ate them, she’d get a rumbly tummy, bloating, and just feel off.

She’d been doing well on her program, but something still wasn’t right.
So, we checked.

✨Using Health Kinesiology, we used desensitisation techniques to help the body reset its response to those foods.

Afterwards, the testing showed she’d still need to avoid yoghurt for about six weeks — doable, but I wondered if we could shorten that time frame.🧐

Through muscle testing, her body indicated that adding a specific type and amount of zinc each day could reduce that by three weeks.💗
Then, adding vitamin B6 in its activated form — the one the body uses most easily — shortened it even more.🙌

We’ll recheck soon, but she’s already able to enjoy her tea and blueberries again with no reaction — a great sign.🎉🙌

🍃 Sometimes the body just needs a reminder that it’s safe again.
When that happens, it can often relearn tolerance faster than you’d expect.
💗And that’s the fun part — watching the body show us how to help it heal.💗

✨Ever feel like your energy’s fading — even though your blood tests say everything’s fine?
It might not be stress or age. It could be that your iron levels are dropping — and taking your energy with them.🥴

You drag yourself through the day — heavy eyes, brain fog, flat battery — maybe running on caffeine or chocolate 😉
But your blood test says you’re fine.

But fine doesn’t always mean great or optimum for you, does it?

I see this often — women feeling exhausted 😳, their moods dipping, their hair thinning — yet their ferritin (iron storage) looks “okay” on paper 🧾.

When we look back over the last six or twelve months, the number has been dropping — and her energy’s dropped with it.

And maybe you’ve noticed the same signs creeping in:
💗 Tiredness that sleep doesn’t fix
💗 Getting sick more often
💗 Low mood or irritability
💗 Brittle nails, thinning hair
💗 Feeling breathless, flat, or weak

You can still be technically within the normal range — but not feel great.
Because that’s not what’s optimum for you.

Your body often knows before the blood test catches up.

And it’s easy to blame age, stress, or hormones — but sometimes it’s simply your body running low on iron.

🍃 When iron — your body’s oxygen spark — begins to dip, everything slows: your energy, your mood, and even your ability to heal.

If you’ve been feeling tired for a while, this may be your body’s way of asking for more support.

💫 And you might be wondering — what if your “normal” isn’t actually your body’s optimum?
It’s worth looking not just at the number, but at the trend over time.

💬 That’s exactly what we can explore through Nutrition Response Testing™ and a detailed review of your bloods — to find what’s holding your energy back, and what your body needs to restore it.

Because when your body finally has what it needs, your energy doesn’t just come back — so do you.

What’s your body been trying to tell you lately?

Mine usually starts with: “Stop eating that, or else!!🤣🤣🥴

💚 Looking Outside the Box Might Be Exactly What Your Body Needs 💚

When all your tests are normal but you’re still not functioning, it’s easy to lose hope.

You’re doing the best you can — but you’re still struggling to function.
That’s often the best time to look beyond the usual answers and see what’s been missed.

Too often, when results don’t explain the suffering, people are told it’s all in their head — or that it’s just part of getting older.❗

Unfortunately, history shows this phrase has dismissed genuine concerns before:

💫 Asthma — once thought to be psychosomatic
💫 Stomach ulcers — blamed on stress
💫 Epilepsy — seen as possession
💫 Autism — blamed on “refrigerator mothers”

Medicine has thankfully evolved.
But many still fall through the cracks, especially when all their blood work and scans come back “normal.”

That’s where other approaches, like Nutrition Response Testing, can help reveal what’s been missed — helping to uncover what the body’s been trying to say all along.

✨ Recently, a client burst into tears when her evaluation revealed what might be causing her severe pain.

Her body showed signs of a possible parasite issue creating gallbladder-like pain. Every medical test was normal.

She’d started to doubt herself — and couldn’t see a way forward. After all, if nothing’s wrong, how do you improve it?

💜 The relief of finally finding answers was enormous — and so was the return of hope that she could do something about it.
She needed to stop eating a few foods and take specific supplements that tested well for her for a period of time to resolve it.
We’ll also monitor her progress to make sure she continues improving.

💛 Just because current medical tests can’t see what’s wrong doesn’t mean it isn’t real.
Sometimes it just takes a different way of looking to find what’s really happening.

💤You finally fall asleep… and then bam — wide awake at 3am, mind racing😩

That’s your blood sugar and adrenals playing ping-pong again.

Here’s what’s often happening:

👉When you go to bed with high blood sugar — maybe after dessert, wine, or that “little something sweet” — your body releases insulin to move that sugar out of the blood and into storage (mostly in your liver).

But if your liver’s already overwhelmed or sluggish ( and whose isn't), it can’t take it all. So the extra sugar gets stored as fat instead.😫 Just what we need!

Then, as you sleep the insulin goes to work to clear sugar burden and your blood sugar drops fast.
Your brain panics — and calls for help.
Your adrenals respond by releasing cortisol and adrenaline to raise your blood sugar again.

And that’s what can wake you up at 2 or 3am — wired but tired.

💚 Try this to help stabilise your night time blood sugar levels:

💗 Avoid sugar or refined carbs late at night.
💗 Eat protein with dinner to slow the blood sugar rise.
💗 Have a protein snack before bed eg cheese, peanut butter and a slice of apple
💗 Keep caffeine and alcohol minimal in the evenings.

Your sleep — and your adrenals — will thank you.

🥑 Why eating fat doesn’t make you fat (and might actually help your hormones) 🥑

For years we were all told that fat is bad.💩🫣
Low-fat this, lite-that — as if stripping food of its nutrients was the answer to health.👎🏻

But our body needs good fats.
Our brain needs good fats.
Our hormones are built from fat. (cholesterol specifically)

So when you cut fats too low, or swap good fats for processed lite versions, your body doesn’t like it.🤢😵‍💫

You may start to notice:

➡️ Constant cravings — because your body’s desperately looking for some good fats.
➡️ Feeling hungry all the time😫
➡️ Hormones in chaos
➡️ Dry skin, low mood, brain fog, poor memory, even depression
➡️ A metabolism that slows right down — the exact thing you don’t want it to do

👉Fat isn’t the enemy. The wrong kind of fats are.

Choose healthy fats that feed your body:
💗 Avocado
💗 Olive oil
💗 Coconut oil
💗 Nuts and seeds
💗 Butter or ghee
💗 Animal fats from quality meats
💗 Eggs
💗 Fish

These are the building blocks your body uses to make hormones, insulate your nerves, give you energy, and help you absorb your nutrients.

So if you’ve been feeling tired, flat, lethargic, or craving sugars all the time — it’s your body communicating that it’s missing some real fuel.
👉Usually, that means protein and good fats.🩷

🍃 Healing isn’t about restricting.
It’s about getting the balance right — adding back what your body’s been missing and asking for.

💬 If this sounds like you, it might be time to check whether your body’s actually getting what it needs to thrive. I
can help you figure that out through Nutrition Response Testing™ and a bit of smart food detective work.💜🧐

🍭 Why sugar steals your healing time 🍭

It’s not about willpower.
Willpower fades — especially when you’re tired, stressed, or running on empty.

And that’s because sugar isn’t just a craving… it’s chemistry.

When you eat sugar (even the “healthy” kind hiding in sauces, cereals, and smoothies), your blood sugar spikes, insulin surges, and your body flips from healing mode to survival mode.

That means:
➡️ Your body stores inflammation and fat instead of repairing.
➡️ Your hormones go nuts.
➡️ Your liver, pancreas, and adrenals get overwhelmed.
➡️ And the cravings? They come back stronger.

So when you try to “just cut sugar” without also adding enough protein, minerals, and real food, your blood sugar crashes… and your body will do anything to get it back up again.
It’s not a weakness — it’s biology.

✨ Healing takes time — sugar just takes more of it. ✨

Start with one less sweet thing a day, BUT continue that habit.

💚 Add protein to every meal — meat, eggs, nuts, seeds, chicken, fish, lentils etc
💚 Swap fizzy drinks or juices for sparkling water with lemon and a few drops of stevia for sweetness.

👉You’ll feel the difference.
Energy improves.
Cravings decrease.
That 3pm brain fog starts to fade.

🍃 Healing isn’t about giving up everything you love,
but it is about changing habits that got you into trouble in the first place.🩷

If you’re ready to find out which foods are helping you heal —
and which ones are holding you back (and any other barriers to healing) —
that’s exactly what I uncover through Nutrition Response Testing™.

✨Your body’s been trying to talk to you — it’s just done being polite.🤣

💙 Supporting your small intestine (so it can finally support you) 💙

Your body’s not trying to make your life difficult — it’s trying to get your attention.

Bloating, gas, the mid-afternoon crash… those are messages, not malfunctions.🧐

👉The trouble is, most of us don’t listen until the communication gets too loud to ignore.

Your small intestine does more work than it gets credit for — absorbing nutrients, filtering irritants, and communicating with every system in the body.

When it’s inflamed or under-nourished, it can’t do those jobs well,
and your body finds other ways to send the memo. (Usually uncomfortable ones.)

Here’s how to help it out:

💗 Soothe the lining with slippery elm or L-glutamine
💚 Rebuild tissues with vitamin A and vitamin C
💛 Support digestion with apple cider vinegar, digestive bitters (I often use MediHerb's Digest Forte), or HCL if needed
💙 Balance your gut flora with the right probiotics, at the right time

Your body is brilliant. It knows how to heal.
Your job is to find out what’s blocking that ability — and remove the interference.

✨ Nutrition Response Testing™ helps identify those blocks so your body can get back to doing what it already knows best: healing.

👉Some meals leave you full — others leave you with a racing heart.

💜 Ever eat something and feel your heart start racing?

In Chinese medicine, the small intestine and heart are paired — one absorbs nutrients, the other circulates them.

So when absorption’s off, your heart doesn’t get the nourishment it needs to fuel the rest of your body.

That can show up as fatigue, weakness, light-headedness, or that tired-but-wired feeling that just doesn’t budge.

You might also notice your heart rate or blood pressure changing after meals — racing, skipping, or dropping for no clear reason.

If a food irritates your gut, the reaction doesn’t stay put — it can ripple out and affect your pulse, heart rate, and even blood pressure.

💫 Some people notice their heart pound after eating, others feel faint or dizzy.

I did too — back when I thought I was being healthy with my “organic steel-cut oats.” Turns out, oats weren’t my friend after all.😫

In fact, one old way to check for food reactions was called the pulse test — you’d measure your pulse after eating.

If it sped up, it suggested your body was reacting to that food. It’s well known that many food sensitivities can affect the heart this way.

If you’re feeling bloated, tired, or notice your heart racing after certain foods, your body’s trying to tell you something.

✨ Nutrition Response Testing™ helps uncover what’s really irritating your body — so you can start feeling like yourself again.
