**Important Announcement**

Kia ora to all my lovely clients ❤️

As I have let a few of you know already, I will be closing Little Tree Massage as of late April/early May this year (exact finishing date yet to be confirmed).

I am off on a bit of a soul journey to the UK for a year or so. I have been feeling the pulls for a while, and am finally taking a leap into the unknown to see what is calling me. It's both exciting and terrifying to be leaving everything and everyone I love here, but it also feels like the adventure my heart needs right now.

I want to thank each and every one of you that has been with me and Little Tree over the past 7 years. Thankyou for trusting me, for growing with me, and for allowing me to do this work alongside you. I have learnt so much and it's really been an honour.

And thankyou to the Waihī Beach community, and the beautiful land here for holding me and nurturing me through this chapter, both personally and professionally. I am eternally grateful to have found a home in this place.

Perception 🦋

In the depths of twirling minds
Never ending spirals of heavy thoughts
Weighing on your body, your heart
Searching and searching for the light at the end of the tunnel
The elusive solution
Perhaps, it is simply, to look up
Step outside for a moment, and look up
Perspective is such a powerful thing
And we can only perceive from the state we are vibrating at

So the truth is, the answers we seek do not exist at the frequency of suffering spirals and endless pursuits of the mind
We must surrender this notion
And instead focus our efforts on raising the vibration from which we percieve life
Oftentimes when we lift our vibration, the things we thought were issues to be solved no longer exist
And the ones that do, have a lighter impact on us
And the ways forward seem to appear as if out of nowhere

So, how do we lift our vibration?
It starts in the body
Immerse yourself in nature
Feel the morning sun on your skin
Listen to music that moves your soul
Eat food that loves your body
Write words, any words, to move them from your mind
Speak to people that calm your nervous system
Massage your feet, your scalp
Hold warm hands against your tummy and heart
Breathe deep, and deeper again
Allow salty tears to fall, and if they resist coming to the surface, gently remind them it's safe to do so
Soak your skin in water
Activate your senses with your favourite smells and sounds and textures
Ask your body what it needs, and listen

Perception is the reality we choose to live in
And the way we choose, is through our bodies
This precious vessel of ours is the garden from which we create our lives
The simple act of nurturing our own garden, can be all it takes to shift our vibration, and the ways we perceive and experience life

Being made small by the right things
Not by piles of dishes and washing
But by mountains and ancient trees
Not by the judgements and actions and expectations of others
But by the depth and power of the ocean
Not by self criticism and self deprecation
But by the unceasing rhythm of nature, the energy that flies the birds and spouts the purest water from the earth and grows fields of flowers
Not by the never ending to do lists, the guilt from the things you did or didn't do, the shame of your shadows
If you have to let anything make you small, let it be nature, that which you are from and that's only intention is to exist
And mirror to you what you are made of

Be made small by the beauty of the sun setting on the horizon

Be made small by the mother, by the earth, her fiery centre, her layers of matter, her magnificent expression. We are part of that magnificent expression

And you will remember, that you are not small at all. You are a part of a whole

And when you find your heart, be made humble by it's magic. Marvel at the way it expands and contracts, guides you and loves and breaks and sings and survives, takes you deeper into this life and reminds you of what you are

Healing is not linear. 2 steps forward, 1 step back. Sometimes its 1 step forward, 5 steps back. Ebbs and flows but it's never wrong. Allow grace in the ebbs and embrace courage to move in the flows. We step back momentarily to gather wisdom from the shadows. It's not always easy, and sometimes we get stuck there. Remember that our vibrational state affects our thoughts, and that not everything we think when we're struggling is truth. These times are for self compassion, listening to your body, keeping it simple. Trust that clarity and peace will return, and so too will the way forward 🌿

Compassion for self ❤️

We all have our own set of circumstances we are trying to navigate through. Stress, pressure, dysregulation, responsibilities, trauma, wounding, mental heath, physical health, illness, grief. In the past few years I've seen so much of it, in others and in myself too. It's such alot to manage. And I've found it hard to speak on. Being in the thick of it makes it hard to draw wisdom from the rubble.

One thing I do know, is that compassion is a superpower. I am grateful for my work in that I get to see a shift in others just by holding compassionate space for them. Allowing their bodies a moment to rest, to digest, to come back to centre. We all have an innate ability to heal ourselves, it's just our access to that has been hidden by the noise.

Starting with compassion for self helps. Finding a moment to wrap your arms around yourself and say "I'm here, I love you, I'm sorry it's been so hard, I see you doing your best, what do you need? What do you need me to hear? I'm listening. You are worthy of being heard, you are worthy of being cared for."

There are so many things in this life we have no control over, and it's a constant journey to surrender and come to acceptance with that. But one thing we can influence, is how we relate to ourselves. Choosing to shift that inner voice into kindness one moment at a time, until it feels like the familiar choice. Relearning how to become our own safe space. Validating our own needs, validating our own experience. It's an act of self love that we are all so worthy of ❤️
