BACK OPEN AGAIN -- Finally!!

Its been a long road to recovery, but I'm pleased to say I am finally back in action and OPEN FOR BUSINESS again!

At first I will be limiting the number of bookings per day until I am up to full speed. So for now, the online booking will not be available. If you would like to make a booking please text or call me 027 5823351, or PM me here.

I'm really looking forward to catching up with everyone and to finally be back!

Hi Everyone,
Just checking in to see how you're all doing during the lock down, and also to update you on how things are going here.

I hope you are all keeping healthy and well, staying safe and looking after one another. Stay strong - We've got this!

For those of you that didn't know -
I had surgery on my hand 2 days before we went into lockdown to reattach the tendon I ruptured last year which never healed.
They said the surgery went well. I got the stitches out on Monday, and now have this really cool bright pink splint for 8 weeks while everything heals.
Im not supposed to use my hand - so Im spending my lockdown time resting up and taking it easy. - Im kind of glad that no one else is able to go mountain biking or paddling at the moment!!!! 🙂 🚴‍♀️🤸‍♀️⛷🚣‍♀️

Its that Busy time of year again . . . Running around trying to get everything done before the end of the year, buying gifts, sorting food, end of year parties. . . .

Hi everyone
Here's another update on the ruptured tendon. . . .

Its been a long slow process, but finally the tendon has re-attached and I am working on getting mobility and strength back into my hand. It is slowly improving - I can now bend my finger a little, and I can now pick up small items (like the TV remote!).

I am planning to return to work after Labour Weekend and will also return to normal "summer" hours:
Wed / Thur / Fri: 9:30 - 7pm
Sat: 10 - 4pm

* * For the first couple of weeks I will only be doing a couple of massages each day. For this reason the online booking will not be available just yet - If you would like to book a massage please text or call so I can schedule you in.

Hand Update. . . .

Well, its been 8 weeks now since rupturing the tendon in my finger and yesterday the cast temporarily came off to see how it was going. . . . .
Im pleased to say - that the tendon has reconnected and my finger is nearly straight! - yippee!

And so now begins the hard work of getting movement and strength back in both the finger and hand. I now get to take the cast off for 1 hour a day to do some exercises. I have to say, that so far, the exercises hurt more than the original injury! But hopefully that won't be for long.

Im still not allowed to put any pressure on my hand for a couple more weeks and so it will be a bit longer before I can return to work.
I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you all for being so patient and understanding as I've cancelled and moved appointments. Hopefully it will only be a few more weeks and I'll be back in action.
