Measles is circulating in Aotearoa.

Early symptoms of measles include fever, cough, runny nose, and sore red eyes. A rash usually appears 3-5 days following the onset of symptoms.

Two measles vaccinations protect about 99% of people.

The vaccine is free for under‑18s and for adults eligible for funded care.

Not sure if you’ve had two doses? We can help you check and catch up if required.

If you think you may have measles you should avoid contact with others, and call before coming into the practice 049081000. Measles is very contagious, and it is the best way to prevent further spread, and to ensure that appropriate precautions are taken.
