I had a client recently who came to me feeling completely overwhelmed by what people were saying about her. Her mind was spinning, emotions all over the place, and she just couldn’t think straight.

Our kids don’t just listen to what we say, they feel who we are. They pick up on our stress, our moods, our energy, even when we think we’re hiding it.

When we’re overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally shut down, it affects them, not because we’re bad parents, but because they’re deeply connected to us.

Healing yourself is not selfish, it’s the greatest gift you can give your children.
