Itβs World Health Day today so here are 6 ways you can support your brain health and show it some love π§
1. Sunlight βοΈ
- Expose your eyes to sunlight for 10 mins within the first 30 mins upon waking. This is the primary way to set your body clock and be in tune with your circadian rhythm.
2. Breathe π§ββοΈ
- Deep breathing switches on your parasympathetic nervous system, which acts like a brake, calming your body down. Aim to complete a 5 minute breathing exercise each day.
3. Exercise πͺπΌ
- Ensure you do 150- 180 minutes of moderate to high exercise per week, this helps to activate the brain networks related to attention processing, cognition control and emotional processing.
