People who are at risk of measles
Anyone who is not immune to measles can get infected if they are exposed to someone who has measles.

You are considered immune to measles if either or these apply:

you had 2 doses of a measles vaccine after 12 months of age
you have had measles before.
Most people born in Aotearoa before 1969 are immune to measles. This is because before that time almost everyone had measles as a child.

If you are not immune to measles and you travel overseas, you could be at risk of getting measles.

Men should be proactive in taking responsibility for their health & wellbeing, and getting tested regularly. More options are available if prostate cancer is detected before it causes symptoms (not common in the early stages). Men over 50 (and those over 40 with known family history) should be tested at least every one to two years. for more information please look at the link below.

Symptoms of prostate cancer
Prostate cancer can develop sliently and remain undetected for some time, without causing symptoms.

If symptoms are present they may include the following. But please note, many are common in men as they age, often caused by other prostate conditions such as an enlarged prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia or BPH). Always see your doctor if you experience any of these symptoms.

Feeling the frequent or sudden need to urinate, especially at night
Finding it difficult to urinate (e.g. trouble starting or not being able to urinate when the feeling is there)
Discomfort when urinating
Finding blood in urine or semen (never ignore this)
Pain in lower back, upper thighs or hips
Bone pain
Unexpected weight loss.
More options are available if prostate cancer is detected before it causes symptoms, so a GP visit for a check at least once a year is vital.
