๐This year I have noticed my holistic nutrition clients struggling more with mood / happiness / dopamine regulation than ever before.
๐It's important on 'low days' to focus on small wins through the day; celebrate basic tasks such as putting out a load of washing, taking clothes to the op shop or vacuuming.
๐Humans are exhausting their dopamine via phone use, online shopping, gambling, drinking, drugs, p**n..... you get the idea.
๐To help you re-set, try putting your phone in the back of the car when you are driving so you don't check insta at the traffic lights and can zone out to radio New Zealand.
๐Try walking with no noise, no podcast,
No music, no distractions, just whatever you are bringing into your brain via your senses from your surroundings.
๐Stop shopping online and go into actual shops to hang out with other humans.
๐Even these tiny changes can make a huge difference. Your digestion will be better. Your immune system will kick in as it's meant to. Your mindset will allow you to rise to life's inevitable hurdles.
๐And always remember, if something comes to you easily, it will steal dopamine. If you have to work to get something, you'll increase serotonin.
