I use refined white sesame oil every day for skincare, oral care, and in my oil massages. I really like using such mild oil on my body in my daily routine!
In Ayurveda, refined white sesame oil is considered a powerful all-purpose oil. It’s gentle on the body, packed with benefits, and it doesn’t oxidize easily, so it stays fresh for a long time.
When it’s cured and refined, this oil is said to absorb deeply into the skin, reaching even the bone marrow. Once inside, it helps carry out waste and toxins, supporting the body’s natural cleansing process.
It’s also known to counteract signs of aging by easing coldness and dryness two things that are said to speed up aging and by bringing warmth and moisture back into the body. That warmth and hydration really do make you feel more youthful from the inside out.🥰
Abhyanga, the Ayurvedic self-massage, is often called a “rejuvenation method.”
Since I started practicing it as an adult, I genuinely feel like some of that youthful glow and moisture I had in my younger days is returning. There’s even a saying in ancient Ayurvedic texts that goes, “If you do Abhyanga for 10 years, you’ll be 20 years younger.” That might be a bit of an exaggeration—but honestly, the benefits feel so real. I’m actually excited to see how I’ll feel (and look!) in 10 years. 🤭🌿
