Friday is our first Play-a-weight Nia class 9:30am Snells Beach Community Centre where you have the option of adding light hand weights to your workout. 0.5kg or 1kg are recommended to start with and we will ease in gently with 2 tracks building up to 3 or 4 tracks. A good test is to hold the weight away from your body for 30 seconds and see how your body feels. I have 10 sets of weights but if you have your own please bring them along.
It will still be a great workout without the weights so there is no pressure to add them. We will dance the Journey Routine which we have done recently so should be a bit familiar to most of you. We will focus on the 3 body weights (head, heart & pelvis) and then the hand weights as we journey around our space.
