It’s funny how life can rewrite the script on us without asking.

Suddenly you’re standing in a place you never planned for, doing things you never thought you’d have to do... and yet, here you are... still showing up.

That kind of quiet courage often goes unnoticed because it doesn’t feel dramatic or “inspirational.” But it IS brave.

It takes strength to keep going in a story that looks completely different from the one you imagined.

If your life looks nothing like your original plan, please remember this:

❤️ You’re allowed to be proud of yourself.
❤️ You’re allowed to feel the feelings and keep moving forward.
❤️ And you’re absolutely allowed to acknowledge how far you’ve already come.

Your story might not be what you expected, but that doesn’t mean it can’t still become something meaningful. 🌼✨

Some days just feel a bit… heavy.
Not dramatic, not catastrophic, just “wow, today is a lot.”

And on those days, you don’t have to be wildly productive or endlessly positive.
You don’t need to fix everything or pretend you’re fine.

Sometimes the win is simply making it through the day without spontaneously combusting.

If today feels like that, give yourself a break!

Breathe. Rest. Drop the pressure even a tiny bit.

Hard days don’t mean you’re doing anything wrong. They just mean you’re human (annoyingly so, at times).

Be kind to yourself today. You deserve softness too. 💛

Learning anything new (whether it’s a job, a boundary, a coping skill, or a whole new way of living) never looks like a nice tidy upward line.

It looks like confidence → confusion → chaos → “oh god, what am I even doing?” → progress → panic → breakthrough.

If you’re in that messy middle, it doesn’t mean you’re failing.

It means you’re learning.

It means you’re human.

And it means you’re on your way.

One day soon, the thing that feels overwhelming right now will click into place… and you’ll look back and realise how far you’ve actually come!

Keep going. You’ve got this!! (even if it doesn’t feel like it today) 💛

Everyone’s waiting to feel ready.
Spoiler alert: you won’t.

You start messy. You doubt yourself. You cringe. You learn.

And somewhere along the way, it stops feeling impossible and starts feeling normal.

Growth isn’t about waiting for confidence to show up. It’s about proving to yourself that you can handle it, even when you don’t feel ready.

Messy starts > perfect plans. Every. Single. Time. ⚡️

Your brain: “But what if it goes wrong?”
You: “Okay… but what if it goes RIGHT?!!!”

Fear’s just doing its job (trying to protect you) but it’s just gotten a bit toooooo good at it.

It keeps you looping, second-guessing, overthinking every step forward.

The real growth happens when you start listening differently. When you recognise fear as a signal, not a stop sign. When you trust yourself enough to take the next step anyway.

You don’t need to silence the fear.
Just stop letting it run the show.

A ship is safe at the shore, but that’s not what it’s built for.

The same goes for us. Staying where it feels safe can protect us for a while, but it can also keep us stuck. Healing, growth, and change often mean leaving the familiar and venturing into the unknown (even when it feels scary!!)

Life isn’t about forcing yourself out to sea all at once. It’s about learning how to steady your ship, trust your direction, and take those first small steps away from the shore. At your own pace.

You were built for more than just surviving. ⚓️

Sometimes life can go off script. Plans crumble, things go sideways, and suddenly it all feels like a bit of a mess.

But here’s the truth: when a pencil breaks, it doesn’t lose its purpose. It just becomes two tools for a new chapter.

So when things fall apart, don’t panic. Pause, breathe, and ask, “Alright… what can I do with this now?”

Because sometimes things need to fall apart so you can rebuild them your way.

💭 Gentle reminder:

You did what you had to do to get through some really hard times. The choices you made back then were made from a place of survival, not failure.

It’s SO easy to look back and wish we’d done things differently. But healing starts when we stop judging who we were, and start understanding why we were that way.

Take a deep breath. You’ve come a long way.

It’s time to forgive yourself for the mistakes you made while you were simply trying to survive. 💚

If you’re ready to start untangling some of that self-blame and find a little more peace within yourself, I’m here to help.

🧠❤️ Sometimes the head and the heart don’t feel like they’re on the same page. The mind can race with thoughts, worries, or “what ifs,” while the heart longs for calm, connection, and reassurance.

Counselling is a space where both can come together; where thoughts are understood and feelings are heard. It’s not about choosing one over the other, but learning how the two can work in harmony.

Because when the brain feels calmer and the heart feels lighter, life doesn’t seem quite so overwhelming. 🌿

✨ If finding that balance feels hard right now, counselling can help. Learn more or book a free introductory chat at www.traceyleecoaching.co.nz.

Life throws storms at us.... stress, grief, overwhelm, those “too much” days. Our instinct is often to fight the storm, to try and control every bolt of lightning.

But here’s the truth: storms aren’t meant to be controlled!

✨ Instead, focus on calming yourself. Breathe. Pause. Do the little things that bring you back to center. The storm will move on, just like every storm does.

You don’t have to fix it all right now. You just have to take care of you. 💛

If you’re finding your storm too heavy to face alone, I’d love to walk alongside you and help you find calm again. 🌿
