What starts as an exploration into the herbal and nutritional benefits of chocolate goes real quick into sugar butter heavy cake and brownie. My editor even had to check if the 660g of sugar in one recipe was a typo (it wasn’t).

Happy New Year beautiful friends from Mum & Dad 🥰❤️

Planned on doing a full 2025 recap (and maybe I will!) but we were in the workshop well into NYE - and gratefully too, I love every minute of it.

2025 was a huge year of changes for us, moving from the country to the city then moving from Dunedin to Wellington (and away from my mum 😢😢😢) I said goodbye to my beautiful shop with my beautiful friend and gave up being a flower farmer in Feb then again decided to put my cake and catering business to the side to focus fully on Botanical Kitchen - I never knew that having only ONE career could actually work 😅. Eternally grateful for all of you here, all of you that invest in our products and all of you that reach out and start conversations and friendships with me.

We have been busy, when I say ‘we’ this is who I mean, myself and my husband (sometimes our kids) that’s it! We research, formulate, consult, hand make, hand pick, hand pack every single order and it is honestly bliss.

Excited for 2026 and beyond. My first goal for the year is to find my wallet and have an early night 🫣 and many more after that. Love a goal.
