Kia whakatōmuri te haere whakamua - walking backwards into the future, with our eyes fixed on the past.

As we move into 2026, we step forward grounded in the kaupapa and relationships that brought us here. With gratitude and excitement, we welcome our new General Manager, Renee Namavong, whose leadership signals a strong and purposeful new chapter. 👏

Alongside Renee stands a refreshed tīma - ready, resourced, and committed to serving our communities with integrity, whakawhanaungatanga, and deep respect for mātauranga Māori.

Together, we honour the wisdom of our tūpuna while shaping a future where our young people can truly thrive. ✨

At Hauora Aotearoa, we create safe spaces for rangatahi to breathe, learn, grow and lead with mana.

Guided by mātauranga Māori, our kaupapa uplifts those who carry heavy experiences. We walk alongside ākonga with care, connection and culture.

We’re now enrolling schools for our 5-week or 15-week programmes:
✅ 5-week kaupapa (no NCEA credits)
✅ 15-week kaupapa (15 NCEA Level 3 credits)

🌺 PUĀWAI SUMMIT KEYNOTE ANNOUNCEMENT 🌺

We are deeply honoured to welcome Tai Turia as one of our keynote speakers at this year’s Puāwai Summit.

Tai will bravely share her powerful story of whakamōmori, walking through the deep mamae of loss after losing her brother, Pākaitore, the moko of Dame Tariana Turia, to su***de. Her kōrero reminds us of the profound impact that loss has on our whānau, and the strength it takes to turn pain into purpose.

Through her courage, Tai is helping to bring awareness to the realities of su***de and is raising vital funds for Youthline, so that more of our rangatahi have someone to reach out to when times are tough.

We’re proud to stand alongside Tai in this kaupapa — with half of all Puāwai Summit proceeds going directly to support her Youthline cause.

He wahine toa, he manawa aroha. 💛
