As the Head Boy at Scott’s College this year he organised an amazing blood drive at his school AND today he did his 10th donation at our donor centre.

Flynn’s actions have helped save over 150 lives so far - ka rawe!

It’s “labs are vital” awareness week, so my amazing colleague Zaria is sharing the filtering process that takes place to ensure red cells can be safely transfused to a patient.

This is just one small (and vital) part of what our amazing scientists and technicians at do every day to ensure the safe supply of blood, blood products and tissue across Aotearoa 💕

Honestly I think everyone who works here is a huge fan - we’re in an incredibly privileged position of knowing our mahi makes a difference, getting to interact with lifesavers, and seeing how blood transfusion services help patients every day 💕
