12-month scripts -
From the 1st of Feb your Doctor has the option of writing you a 12-month script.
They will only do this at their discretion and will likely be for people with LONG-TERM CONDITIONS who have a low chance of their health status changing over this time period.
Controlled drugs are exempt to this, which includes ADHD meds, which will continue to be a maximum of 3 month scripts.
You still collect 3 months supply from the pharmacy at a time- so your 12 month script will be distributed as a 3 months supply with 3 repeats.
If you do have a 12 month script, be mindful of any changes to your health over the year and be proactive at contacting your doctor I’d anything changes as your medicine too might need changing.
