Our company has a well-established and trusted name in the Funeral Industry. Willetts Funeral Services has been in business since 1990 covering the Eastern Bay of Plenty and New Zealand. Our Chapel seats 120 comfortably and for larger services we open up the back of the chapel, seating a further 100 people. The chapel is fully air conditioned and is spacious and comfortable with high quality sound equipment and a digital projector for photo presentations, an electric organ and video facilities to record the service. For family members that are unable to attend, We have available a live Funeral Streaming Service. Due to different reasons, sometimes family or friends may not be able to attend the funeral but now with the latest technology we are able to offer a Funeral Streaming service, the next best thing to being there. We are fully wheelchair friendly with a ramp at the rear of the chapel allowing access to the adjoining lounge, kitchen area and bathrooms. Our reception lounge and kitchen provides a place for light refreshments following the service. We also have two private family rooms.

Loved mother of John, Paul, Suzanne (deceased) and cherished mother in law of Evon, Lorraine (deceased) and Janice.
Adored grandmother of Richard, Rachell, Karen, David, Jamie, Hayden and Matthew.
Precious Great Grandmother to 11 and Great Great Grandmother to 10.
Close friend to many and loved by all.
Deep in our hearts a memory is kept, of one that we love and will never forget.
Requiem Mass will be celebrated in St Peter Chanel Catholic Church, 125 King Street, Whakatane, on Friday, 5 December at 11am, followed by a burial at Hillcrest Cemetery, Ohope Road, Whakatane. Rawlinson, Ian Thomas. It is with deep sorrow the family of Ian announce his passing on Sunday 30th November 2025, peacefully at Whakatane Hospital aged 85.
Loving husband of 61 years to Janice. Beloved father and father-in-law to Keith and Kerry, Irene and Paul, Carol and Chris, Scott and Moana, Lesley and Tom. Cherished Grandad to Lateisha, Isabella, Oliver, Renee and Nate; Amy; Michael and Jessica; Brooklyn and Wyatt; Kylie and Reece.
In accordance with Ian’s wishes a private cremation has been held.
A celebration of his life will be at his home 663 Western Drain Road, Awakeri on Sunday 7th December at 1pm.
In lieu of flowers donations to St Johns Whakatane would be welcomed.
He will be dearly missed by whanau/family and friends.

Hatched - 13th February 1945
Gone Fishing – 30th November 2025

It is with great sadness we would like to announce the peaceful passing of Ray, with his family surrounding him. After kicking cancers backside for 38 years, he’s decided it’s time to go fishing.

Dearly loved husband of Heather for 58 years. Beloved father and father in law of Brett and Fi, Tracey and Gavin, Shelley and Steve. Grandfather of 6, great-grandfather of 4.5 (one not quite hatched yet) plus several ‘ring-ins’
Deeply loved brother of Marlene and Danny (dec), Margaret (dec), Mervyn (dec), Glenda (dec) and Warren (dec), Peter, and Bev. Brother in law of Graham and Kay, Jinny and Glenn. Will be greatly missed by all the whanau.

Ray will be laying at 350 Hallett Road, Otakiri, but his family ask that this be a private time for them to say their goodbyes to Ray.

A public celebration of his life will be held at the same address on Wednesday 3rd December at 11am followed by a private cremation.

In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to the angels at EBOP Hospice.

9th March 1940 – 27th November 2025
Peacefully passed away on Thursday 27th November 2025 at Whakatāne Hospital, aged 85 years.
Dearly loved husband of the late Lineas (Lin). Cherished brother and brother-in-law, treasured uncle and loyal whananunga and friend to all, Royce will be dearly missed by all.
Royce will lay at home in Whakatāne until Monday 1st December. A service will be held at 9am at his home, before travelling home to Taumarunui for a service at 2pm at Taumarunui New Cemetery, North End Golf Road.
Following the service, whānau and friends are invited to the Taumarunui RSA, Marae Street, for light refreshments and to share stories of our beloved Royce.

We are proud, excited, and feeling hopeful to have a corporate sponsor duck in the 2025 Kawerau Rotary Duck Race. See our Director Duck attached.
Get along tomorrow and support this awesome event at Prideaux Park, Kawerau.

Event Briefing at 10:15am at the Rotary Tent.
Little Yellow Ducks heat one starts at 10:30am.
Heats 2 and 3 will follow when the stream is clear after each heat.
The first 10 little yellow ducks out of each heat will go into the final race of the day to win the first prize of $500!!!.

Corporate Duck Race will start at 11:30ish followed by the grand final Little Yellow Duck race.
