MALLEN Julie

On Sunday 5th April 2026 (Resurrection Sunday), peacefully at home, surrounded by love, aged 68.

Beloved wife and best friend of John. Much loved by her Baptist Church family, as well as her Friday night football team, and Occupational Therapy and Whakatane Hospital work colleagues. Special thank you to the amazing EBOP Hospice, Whakatane Hospital and Disability Resources Centre teams who cared for her so remarkably.

Psalm 23
The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters, He refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil,
for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me, in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord, forever.

A celebration of Julie’s life will be held in the Whakatane Baptist Church, Keepa Road, Whakatane on Monday 13th April at 1pm followed by a private cremation.
