Time for introductions!
👣
My name is Heidi and I moved to Ohope the day before the lockdown in March 2020. My husband, preschooler, Labrador and I are loving it here!
I have been a podiatrist for over 13 years now!
I owned and operated a clinic in central Auckland for 9 years. During that time I was also a Clinical Educator at AUT University for two years.
Currently I am the specialist podiatrist at Whakatane Hospital as a specialist podiatrist.
If you have any concerns about your feet, please get in touch, I would love to help you!

I will be wearing a mask for consults during level two and you are welcome to as well. Call or text 021 112 7994 for an ...

Chilblains can be a common occurrence when the winter weather sets in.
Here are our top suggestions to manage them:

✅ avoid big changes in temperature (ie wear warm socks and shoes when you’ll be exposed to cold temps and never put your feet closer than 2m from a fire/heater/heat source
✅ avoid cotton socks - they don’t wick moisture and can keep your feet cold and damp
✅ wear ‘technical/diabetic’ or wool socks
✅ keep your skin healthy with a good moisturiser
✅ try massaging the feet gently to warm them
✅ see a podiatrist to have them diagnosed and get specialist advice
