📣📣📣 Big warm welcome to Nicky, who will be taking ownership of The Drift this December.

Nicky & her family have called Whangamatā home since 2010, raising their two girls in this beautiful community. With a Psychology degree & years of experience in the health & wellness industry, she brings a grounded, holistic approach to wellbeing.

Her passion for movement naturally led her into completing her Personal Training qualification, gaining her Dynamic Pilates Reformer Instructor certification & now currently working toward her Diploma in Functional Fitness.

Nicky steps into this role with a huge heart for honouring the energy & community that makes The Drift what it is. All your favourite classes & instructors remain - you’ll still see me (April) in the studio, teaching right through summer & beyond.

We have an action-packed holiday schedule which we will reveal soon, with a few fresh classes added in 2026, extending our offerings to meet your needs.

Please join us in welcoming Nicky to The Drift. She’s buzzing to meet you all & step into this next chapter and I couldn't imagine a better person to do it 🧡

After 6+ amazing years, The Drift is stepping into a new chapter 🌿

I’m so proud of what this community has become - together, we’ve moved through new spaces, lockdowns, laughter, challenges & plenty of planks 😝

I’ve officially handed the ownership reins to an incredible local lass who’ll carry The Drift forward (more to come soon 👀).

I’ll still be on the teaching team, doing what I love most - moving with you all & sharing the mat through summer & beyond 🤍

Here’s to The Drift’s next wave - same heart, fresh energy 🌊💫

Zoe completed her 200hr yoga teacher training in Aruba in 2017 & has taught internationally ever since.

Her yang–yin classes blend strength & softness - gentle, fluid movement balanced & meditative stillness. Weaving anatomy, mobility & mindfulness, Zoe teaches with presence & purpose ✨

Now with us in Whanga, Zoe brings that same creativity off the mat - whether she’s hiking, swimming, horse riding, making pottery, or cooking up something beautiful as a chef 😎

⚡️ 9:15am Foundation Pilates – We cover the basics & build strength with plenty of options to dial it up if you’re feeling spicy!

🪑 10:30am Chair Pilates – Beginner-friendly & supportive. Great for anyone looking for a low-impact option.

🌶️ 5:30pm Power Pilates – Strong, upbeat & dynamic! It’s a full-body burn!

Our evening lineup ticking all the boxes with a solid mix of classes & energy ⚡️🪩👇

Mondays we kick off with a Recovery Flow at 5:30pm - A class designed for surfers, runners, mountain bikers, tradies & anyone who wants to keep their body moving well (yep, fellas, this one’s got your name all over it 👊).

This week we’ve also got two FREE community classes - Yoga Sculpt on Tuesday 5:30pm & Yoga Flow on Wednesday 5:30pm 🙌

Then we turn up the heat with our popular Power Pilates on Thursday 5:30pm💥

And Sunday 4pm, we wrap up the week with Barre Pilates - the perfect mix of strengthening, lengthening to move into a new week.

We’re trialing a brand new class - and we love, love, love this one!

Our new teacher-in-training, Samara, will be guiding you through an energising Yoga Sculpt session that blends dynamic yoga flow with resistance bands and light weights for a full-body workout.

It’s the best of both worlds - flow, sweat, and sculpt your way through an upbeat sequence that builds strength, challenges endurance, and leaves you feeling empowered from the inside out!

All levels welcome (some yoga experience recommended to get the most from the class).
