Calling all car and bike lovers - it’s time to make some noise for a good cause!
We’re challenging clubs and drivers across Whanganui and beyond to post a short video of their ride revving, rolling, or showing off, using the hashtag and tagging .

Let’s fill social media with horsepower, colour, and community spirit - all to raise awareness for for Hospice, the car & bike show happening Sunday 22 March 2026 at the Whanganui Racecourse.

What an incredible day at Whānau Ora Day 2025 🌿

Our stall was a hive of connection, colour, and kōrero - from gifting almost 100 free plants and trees to watching tamariki create beautiful artworks that will soon brighten the halls of Hospice.

Thank you to Nelda for her homegrown plants, Anna and the Whanganui Prison Nursery for their generous donation of native trees, and Teri for the art supplies that made our creative space so special.

We heard amazing stories from whānau about living off their whenua, rongoā, and growing their own māra. Such an inspiring reminder of the knowledge, care, and community that make Whanganui special.

A big thank-you to Te Oranganui for hosting such a beautiful event, and to our Hospice whānau who made the day such a success.

💛 A huge thank you to Low Cost Bins for coming on board to support Hospice Whanganui!

Since June, they’ve been helping us cover our refuse costs - which means more of our resources can go directly into patient and whānau care. 🌿

At the Whanganui Re:Sort Transfer Station & Resource Recovery Centre, customers can now drop off items that are too good to throw away. The reusable goods are diverted from landfill and given a second life through our Hospice Whanganui Shops.

It’s community partnerships like this that help keep Hospice Whanganui sustainable, compassionate, and here for everyone who needs us. 🙏

We’re looking for a Nurse Lead who’s ready to guide our nursing team with aroha, courage, and compassion. You’ll help strengthen how we deliver specialist palliative care across our community and inpatient services - supporting patients and whānau to live with dignity, comfort, and choice.

This role is perfect for an experienced RN leader who thrives in a collaborative environment, values whānau-led care, and believes in doing good work with good people.

🌿 Behind the Scenes – Hospice Whanganui on the Road

Hospice care isn’t just what happens inside a building, it’s what happens out in our community, every day.

From early morning visits to after-hours calls, our nurses, HCAs, and whānau support team travel across Whanganui and beyond to walk alongside patients and their whānau, wherever they call home.
