Have your say | Draft Action Plan for carers
The Ministry of Social Development is seeking feedback on a new draft Action Plan for unpaid and informal carers - the people who support loved ones every day, often quietly, and often at great personal cost.
The draft Action Plan sets out priorities for recognising carers, strengthening their wellbeing, and improving financial security. It’s been developed with the Carers Alliance and organisations across Aotearoa who walk alongside carers and whānau.
There are many ways to share your voice, including community workshops, online workshops, written submissions or a quick survey.
Consultation is open until 12 February 2026.
