Stress! I found this little gem I wrote when we were in the midst of lockdowns - stuck in a flat in South London with my cat and plants for company.
Stress in small doses is not a bad thing and can often help us solve problems and perform better, however too much stress takes its toll on our body and mind. We are in some crazy times right now, with so much uncertainty, will we go back into lockdown, what will that lockdown look like, will I have a job to go back to at the end of the month, if not how will I pay rent. These are some of the things that have been going through my head and I am sure many others. The way I have been coping with it is through meditation, self Reiki, reading and watching anything I can learn something from and talking with friends.
We all have our own way of coping when times get stressful or uncertain. By meditating and with the help of self Reiki I find it easier to put my faith in the universe, the Divine, God or whoever you identify with.
Yes life is a bit s**t right now but (I believe) everything happens for a reason maybe you have learnt something about yourself, learnt a new skill or just spent quality time with your family and the people you love. We will get through this stronger and happier than we were before.
