🎄Holiday Hours 🎄

Our team are taking a little break this year to spend some time with our wee ones and recharge. Our last day in practice will be Tuesday 23rd December and normal hours will resume on Monday 12th January. Dr's James and Sam will both be on deck until then for appointments 👐

Back to school spine tips 🎒📚

A backpack that is correctly fitted to your child can help reduce extra stress on your child's spine and shoulders, as well as help to maintain good posture.

Here are our top tips for healthy backpack use:
✅️ Choose a backpack with two wide padded straps (always worn on both shoulders).
✅️️ The pack should sit no lower than the hips.
✅️ Keep the weight less than 10-15% of your child's body weight.
✅️️ Pack the heaviest items close to the spine.
✅️️ Encourage your child to bend their knees when lifting their bag.

A few small adjustments can make a big difference to growing spines 🌿

Good morning 🌞

With the new traffic system starting on Friday we thought we'd give you a little update with what that means for your Chiropractic care.

The official information from our Association and the MOH is:

“As healthcare providers and facilities, you are not required to utilise or enforce vaccine passports. As essential services, you must deliver care regardless of a person’s vaccination status”

This means that we will be open to all members of our community.

As always our cleaning and hygiene standards remain high and health remains a priority so please remember to wear a mask and reschedule if you are feeling unwell.

Level two! 🎉

From Wednesday 8th we will be back in the practice able to adjust so anybody who had appointments booked over the lockdown period will start to hear from one of us tomorrow to reschedule.

A few changes that will be in place will be as follows:

- Please turn up at your designated appointment slot. We have spaced out appointment times in order to maintain distancing and give us time to clean between everybody.

- Face masks are now mandatory within the practice.

- Please use the QR scanner or the sign in sheet available on arrival.

- You will be screened prior to your appointment, please stay at home and reschedule if you have any cold/flu symptoms, are waiting on a covid test result or have been to any locations of interest in the last two weeks.

- We're lucky to have plenty of space in our waiting room but please follow seating directions to maintain distancing from others.

We'll be working to get through to everyone as quickly as we can but please send us a message if you are needing to get in as soon as possible.

Hi everyone!

We hope everybody is getting through lockdown well, only a few more days to go until the levels change. I thought I'd jump on here to give you all a bit of an update as to what the next phase looks like for us at the practice.

Level 3 unfortunately looks fairly similar to level 4 for us in terms of face to face visits and we will have to keep our doors closed during this time. However, if anyone needs home management advice over the phone or would like a chat please leave us a message or flick us an email and somebody will make contact.

Towards the end of level 3 when we know for certain when we are entering level 2 we will start to contact everyone who had appointments booked with us over the last couple of weeks to reschedule and get you back on track.

In level 2 we will be back in the practice with our doors open but things will look a little different to level 1 with more distancing and spacing of appointments to ensure we can operate safely. I’ll put up more info on level 2 protocols once we get there.

In the meantime enjoy this time of a slower pace of life and we’ll hopefully see you soon!
