As tomorrow is the Auckland Marathon I wont be training people over Victoria Park in the city.

So i've decided to give 4 free 30min boxing sessions away for tomorrow morning: 10.00am (taken), 10.45am (taken), 11.00am & 11.45am

Good morning everyone, in response to numerous requests and inquiries, we are pleased to announce the addition of an earlier Tuesday morning session, scheduled from 7:30-8:00 and 8:15-8:45.

Furthermore, an additional Thursday evening class will be offered from 5:30-6:00 and 6:15-6:45.

How can I achieve a 2.4km run in a short time to pass the PAT test?

Running is an essential component, regardless of personal preferences. To succeed, it is crucial to maintain a steady pace.

Here are some valuable tips:
1) Run 400m twice, timing each lap. If your second lap is 10 seconds or more slower than the first, you are starting too quickly. It is essential to slow down.
2) Adopt a relaxed mindset during the run. If you feel tension in your shoulders, it is likely that you are not relaxed.
3) Always warm up before running, as neglecting to do so increases the risk of cramping and pain, ultimately slowing you down.

There are additional tips to consider, but begin with these, particularly if you are new to running.

Local small group classes in Milldale. Mainly working on circuit training to help with weight loss, strength & cardio.

This includes a variety of exercises & equipment from: Free Weights, TRX, Total Gym, Battle Rope, Box, Floor Work & obviously Body Weight exercises.

Classes are currently set for: Sat morning 9.15-9.45 & afternoon 12.15 to 12.45. Tue morning 9.00-9.30 & 9.45-10.15. Thur afternoon 4-4.30 & 4.45 to 5.15.

Here is some information about myself:

I’m 42. I was a full-time Personal Trainer at Les Mills New Lynn for 4 years. I trained both female and male clients to reach their goals, from weight loss to strength training to competing in cycling and running events. I trained my wife who lost 15kgs using a variety of the functional fitness equipment.

My current clients are mostly people wanting to enter into the Police Force, or Armed Forces. I prepare them for their fitness entry test. Every person I have trained has passed their relevant test which is awesome! I train these people in a 1:1 session. Additionally, I also train endurance athletes for running & cycling events

I am myself a cyclist and marathon runner. I work out at the gym 4-5 times a week, so fitness is a huge part of my life.

The small groups will be a maximum size of 4 people. Training will incorporate the same exersises & equipment I used with my wife. Emphasis is on fun, different but functional fitness so that you can undertake activities in your daily lives with ease.

My style is relaxed but don’t let that fool you. I push people to achieve their goals. My sessions are fun and you may even hear the occasional swear word too!

4 TRX exercises that can be used in one go - helpful to all levels. Most gyms have the TRX now days so give it a go

Using the Battle Rope... many different exercises and here are 2 being shown by someone I have trained for years, he passed the PAT test (so now with the police) and he keeps training hard... more exercises to be posted here soon.
