🌞 Kohukohu Update from the Road! 🌞
Good morning, team!

What a *stunning* day here in Kohukohu, finally! The town feels like a movie set, with gorgeous old villas from the late 1800s and early 1900s. It’s hard to believe this peaceful little place was once one of the busiest hubs in Aotearoa, booming with logging and dairy industries and home to over 6000 people. Now, with around 150 residents, you can still feel the heartbeat of its rich history.

The women coming through the unit have been absolutely divine dairy farmers, fashion designers, artists, māmā , such a vibrant mix of backgrounds and stories. 💛

We’ve had beautiful feedback from the community. There’s a real sense of gratitude and understanding around the importance of screening. It’s been heartwarming to see how valued our mahi is.

Special shoutout to Celia from Hauora Hokianga , our incredible local kaimahi. She even came in on her day off to make sure her wāhine got screened. Her energy and dedication are inspiring!

And yes, even Russell, the local pub owner, popped in for a look at the unit! 😄

Here are a few snaps from around the town 📸 — thank you all for your ongoing support. You truly make us a better team. 💙
