I HATE RUNNING!!! but I don't quit on a mission. 10 weeks ago I started running on the off chance someone might join my run club for Kerikeri half... but no one did 😅 but I kept at it.. sort of, but man I just hate it so much that on Mon, having not run more than 8.36km, I decided I was over it and I just wanted to get it done, so this morning I left at 530am to take on 21.1km on my own. Praise the Lord for His protection and worship.. you don't know how many worship songs talk of running.. to Him, from sin, like a prodigal, His grace to us... it sure kept me going.
Mission accomplished, although the body broke down around 12km, my route planner set me short and left me with 2 MASSIVE hills to finish where I contemplated running back down to make up the kms but I just wanted to get home and die 🤮
Today's out, I'm smashed but feeling accomplished, relieved and so so so happy I don't have to run anymore 😅🤣
God bless to anyone doing Kerikeri or tackling something you hate... you got this and He's got you 🥰

Think RUN CLUB'S 🏃‍♀️not for you???
I don't run!!!! I'm a lifelong weights ju**ie and truth be told, I run RUN CLUB 🏃‍♀️ so I do some cardio.
This is my progress, I started 3 weeks before, so I at least have 'some ' fitness. Week 1 1.5km, week 2- 2.5km week 3- 5km. It's all about technique and breathing, and then the progress is not so painful.

15 years ago we opened our home to overseas students as extra money and an experience for our kids. Little did we know the long lasting impact that time had on their lives too. We have been so blessed to catch up with Pierre and Julien since we've been in France and to hear how much their time with us and our family impacted them and their future. We're so proud and full of joy to see the men they are now with beautiful families and successful businesses, it's been such a blessing. Merci and see you in NZ soon 🙏 😘
