Back in Rarotonga now. Helped with a Midwives Suturing Workshop. Not the stitching! 😀 But information on ways to reduce the risk of tears and then postnatal care.
So awesome that the fabulous gynaecologist I work with also agrees this is important and included me in the teaching.
What a great bunch of midwives and medical students on the course.

Congratulations to our fantastic Nicole and the van der Kwaak whanau on the arrival of Courtney Drew a couple of weeks ago🥰. She was a superstar at her first inservice yesterday too!

Nicole is on maternity leave at the moment, but appointments are available with Brandi and Shelley in Whangarei, Helen in Kerikeri and Laura in Coopers Beach.

What an honour and a privilege to be part of this fantastic team as their pelvic health physiotherapist.
I have been going to the Cook Islands since 2017 with Gynaecologist Dr Mairi Wallace as part of the Urogynaecological Health Specialist Visit.
Our team has grown in the past few years and now includes Anaesthetist Dr Michael Kalkoff and Urology Nurse Tina Kusser.
This year we had clinics on Mangaia, Aitutaki and Rarotonga.
I am truly grateful for the opportunity to bring pelvic health physiotherapy to this beautiful country and work with the fantastic Cook Island doctors and nurses.

Today was our lovely Nicole's last day before she goes on maternity leave.
We wish Nicole all the best and can't wait to meet the new addition to the van der Kwaak whānau.
Brandi and Shelley will be looking after Nicole's patients in the Whangarei clinic until she returns in 2024.
