Did you know... Osteopaths in NZ are primary healthcare practitioners? As part of our thorough examination process, we may take your blood pressure, listen to your lungs, check your abdomen, and assess your pulses—alongside the usual musculoskeletal testing. This helps us understand the root cause of your symptoms and ensure it's safe for us to treat you. 🤲

How you breathe has an effect on the tension in your neck and shoulders, your circulation, and can give or relieve feelings of dizziness or disorientation. It can also impact digestion, and feelings like anxiety.
Osteopathic treatment can help you to breathe easier by improving your rib cage mobility, and releasing any tensions of your diaphragm muscle – and that’s just the beginning!
🫁All of our Osteopaths can assist you with breathing, but for a little more depth we suggest Tessa or Martin
😌 Book online or send us an email to see how we can help you.

Reflux and colic are common issues we treat in babies. The causes can vary, and we will discuss your baby's symptoms and history with you to provide tailored care. 🙌Often, gentle alignment of the spine and ribcage, along with releasing tension around the diaphragm, can significantly ease symptoms. This can help your baby feel more comfortable, be less "spilly," and make burping easier.
Nina and Tessa are our experienced baby osteopaths 💕

When is the Best Time to Bring My New Baby in for Osteo?
If there’s something specific bothering you or your baby, you are welcome to come in as soon as you're comfortable leaving the house. The youngest we’ve seen so far is just 2 days old, usually for latching issues. If you’re looking for a general check-up, we recommend coming in sometime around 3-5 weeks after birth. Ideally, we’d love to meet before 4 months, as that’s when things start to get more solid.
Send us an email if you'd like to talk more! nina@norfolkclinic.nz 🙂

We recommend bringing your child in at least annually, especially if they’re playing contact sports!
