Hi all, thanks for kick starting my website by providing the much needed "likes".

I studied and trained in US where I worked with some extremely disturbed clients suffering from extreme psychosis. I used Jungian Psychology and Depth Psychology. The clients showed remarkable improvements within two years. There are extremely few people in the world today who can successfully work with such debilitating diseases as schizophrenia, eating disorders etc. I am grateful to have been trained by two of such remarkable mental health professionals.

I moved to Chistchurch in 2015, and to Whangaroa in Feb, 2019, and then had to travel overseas for work for several months.

But now I am back, and all ready to start working at what I love doing..helping people sort themselves out.

I received a few calls and messages this morning so clarification is warranted.

I am not enrolled with any insurance provider, nor any government agency. I have a sliding scale fee, and would help you to the best my ability to afford treatment. But it will still be an out of pocket expense for you.

Please be aware that most of the issues I deal with need long-term treatment, which may end up costing a significant amount. I don't want clients to stop therapy midpoint. Financial issues in the midst of a treatment create an undue burden on the client and on the therapist and intrude in the process of healing. Not to mention the fee already paid would be somewhat wasted. Such wastage may be avoided thru practical considerations and appropriate planning before we begin the treatment...

So we must assess upfront whether this is the right treatment and a right price for you......and as I stated, I will do my best to make the treatment affordable, but there will be out of pocket expenses that must be incurred......

For many centuries the medical profession was represented with the Rod of Asclepius which is single serpent-entwined rod wielded by the Greek god Asclepius, a deity associated with healing and medicine.

However, in recent history it was changed to the Caduceus, Rod of Hermes

Rongoā is traditional Māori medicine – a system of healing that was passed on orally. It comprised of diverse practices and an emphasis on the spiritual dimension of health. Rongoā includes herbal remedies, physical therapies such as massage and manipulation, and spiritual healing.

The Tohunga Suppression Act 1907 was an Act of the New Zealand Parliament aimed at replacing tohunga as traditional Māori healers with "modern" medicine. The Act was introduced by James Carroll who expressed "impatience with what he considered regressive Maori attitudes"

What a tragedy that man replaced Medicine by Commerce, for the two are not mutually exclusive, and could have been allowed to flourish and developed side by side....

Who can the Maori god (or goddess?) of medicine be...?
