Awesome hikoi 5 Maunga 5 wiki

Just over a week to go, e te whānau!
Our first maunga is almost here -
Te Poho o Tamatea, Rāpaki.

Please be there and ready to start the hīkoi at 9am sharp. We’ll begin together.

This is the first step of our 5Maunga 5Weeks journey. It’s not about speed. It’s not about comparison. It’s about showing up, breathing deep, and moving our bodies on our whenua - together.

Health & Safety reminders:
▪️Wear appropriate footwear (good grip is essential)
▪️Dress for the weather - layers are your friend
▪️Bring water, and snacks if you want to eat while you walk
▪️Know your physical limits - this is not a competition, it’s whakawhanaungatanga
▪️If you have any medical conditions, come prepared and let someone know
▪️Tamariki are welcome but must remain under supervision at all times

Before we start, everyone will need to sign in, and once we return, sign out - this helps us keep track of everyone and make sure all our whānau return safely 🫶🏽

Most importantly, come with a positive vibe and a willingness to support one another.

Haven’t registered yet? Please make sure you do before coming along — link in comments 👇🏼

There’s no limit to rising higher.
Kia tū, kia pakari, kia toa!

It's all happening Tuesday 10 March at 7pm at Amberley School - 2 Lawcocks Road, Amberley. It's FREE to attend but a reservation is essential. Please contact natalie.paterson@hurunui.govt.nz to book your place.
