⁉️ Are these Air Body dryers any good?
That is the question that most people will ask if they are looking at purchasing one. There once was an old Advertisement that went something like this; “I liked the Shaver that much I bought the Company”.
This Testimonial is very much in the same line.
Along with my Business Partner, who originally introduced me to these new fandangle Air Body Dryers, we were somewhat hooked on these machines & could see the enormous benefit to a large array of people. After setting up a Company to manufacture & Import these Dryers under Licence, we set about introducing this new concept of drying people’s bodies in a Shower/ wet area without the use of a Towel to the public. Progress was slow, sales were few, the minimal sales we had delivered us glowing testimonials from very satisfied customers, & we still do to this day.
After 5 years of continual chest Angina pains & other uncomfortable symptoms, I was recently fortunate enough to receive an emergency call up for Heart By-Pass surgery at Auckland Hospital. Operation went ahead; very successfully I might add, but, the recovery, goodness. From the very 1st shower, with a 250mm wound down the centre of my chest & another down my leg, movement wasn’t on the top of my list. Very, very, painful & difficult to shower & in particular dry oneself even with the grateful help of nursing staff. God, I wish I had the use of one of our Air Body Dryers I thought.
After 5-7 days one is released from Hospital, the day I got home, we, my wife & I, managed to temporary connect up an old Demo model Air Body Dryer in the shower cubicle. I’ll be using that after tomorrow mornings shower I tell my wife. Next morning in the shower, wash myself, wounds & all, right, now follow instructions, 30 secs to a minute before I turn warm water off start dryer, bingo, slow blast of airflow hits me, I dodge to the leeward side of the water flow as I find the airflow a tad cool, within 5 secs I can feel it warming up. Rinsing finished, I hit the switch again and whoosh a strong blast of air hits me. I turned the shower off & again follow instructions rotating myself slowly in a circle. 1st minute, goodness this thing’s not working I can’t feel the “gentle warm breeze” the advertising says, keep slowly rotating. 2nd minute, Aha, I can start to feel “the gentle warm breeze” now it’s getting warmer, keep slowly rotating. 3rd minute, holy macheral, this thing is really putting out some heat, step away a few inches, 4th minute, goodness, I’m nearly dry, no pain, no roughness on the skin, no sense of losing my balance & this” gentle warm breeze” is quite addictive. 5th minute, Man this thing is hot, I’m dry, think I will just rotate move around a bit just to make sure I tell myself.
At this stage I could have switched the dryer off but, nah; I’ll just enjoy another 30secs/minute of the warm air perfect feeling. 6th, 7th or maybe the 8th minute (just joking) I finally turn off dryer. Worst thing of this deal, opening the door of the shower & feeling the autumn cool air hit you. Dress myself smiling, what a clever dick I think to myself.

Amazing piece of equipment, my thoughts immediately go to when I was back in Hospital, every ward, every Hospital should have one of these Dryers, especially the Wards that have Patients recovering from surgery or have restricted movement. The comfort & dignity to the patients would be rewarding enough for the cost outlay.
