As I have said in the past the fishing the last couple of years has been different. Not really bad, but it has been much harder. The Billfishing has remained pretty much unchanged however the Dorado have been very hard to come by...last year just 3 Dorado all year and this year maybe 20. So we have been targeting Yellowfin Tuna much more than in the past. Dorado fishing is pretty much putting out some lures and just waiting for the fish to come to you...Tuna Fishing is a whole different thing. You have to know where they are, and then you have to talk them into eating any bait you might have. Sometimes Capt Chuy will fish with guys as a "Hired Gun " if you will to put them on the elusive tuna they can not find. The other day he went out with Brad, Vic and John just for that purpose. They started the day with a 60 pounder to warm them up. Then on the last cast of the day Chuy came tight on another Sea Monster Yellowfin Tuna in the 150 to 180 pound range. With a lot of moaning and groaning, sweat and tears the gang boated this giant and provided lots of Sushi for the next bunch of days. Come on down and tie into one of these monsters for yourself. See you soon!!
