STARTING IN ONE HOUR!

In this intuitive writing workshop, you will connect with your inner voice and creative wisdom through the magic and power of words. We will begin the workshop with an opportunity to sink into our inner selves through meditation, breathing, and visualization. Then, you will be guided in an exercise of freewriting that takes you deeper into your authentic intuitive wisdom through a series of guided questions. You will then be guided in a poetry exploration, designed to enliven your inner poet and exercise the special meaning you assign to language – after all, the language we use creates our reality.

Nkem Chhukwumerije is a heartist devoted to creating spaces for humans, especially women of color, to journey inward and align with their unique creative wisdom. She uses her passion for and expertise in writing, embodiment, and energy cultivation to create portals for internal transformation and authentic external creative expression. She is inspired by the soul-to-human experience, the wisdom of nature, and the magic of intention and belief. She is here to guide and empower through the sacred Self experience. She’s the author of poetry collection “Poetry and the immediate: A collection of sensed spaces”, loves to dance, cook, enjoy warm creamy drinks in the morning, and take long walks to connect with Gaia. She works with writers from around the world through Wellspringwords, the Literary Anthology and Creative Enrichment Studio she stewards (www.wellspringwords.love), and through her unique coaching programs. More of her writing, art, teachings, and features can be found on www.bynkem.co.

When winter ends, our beloved songbirds return hungry! 🌼

Early spring offers very little natural food—unless your garden is planted with these native beauties.

These plants provide berries, seeds, insects, and shelter, creating instant feeding stations for returning feathered friends. 🐦💛

Here are 12 native plants that attract songbirds in spring:

• Serviceberry — First berries for robins & waxwings
• Red Osier Dogwood — Insects + bright berries
• American Beautyberry — Late-winter fruit for cardinals
• Winterberry — Persistent berries for thrushes & bluebirds
• Chokeberry — Antioxidant fruit for spring migrants
• Eastern Red Cedar — Juniper cones for cedar waxwings
• Staghorn Sumac — Seed clusters for travelers
• Blackhaw Viburnum — Overwintering fruit for early birds
• American Holly — Winter berries + dense shelter
• Purple Coneflower — Seed heads for finches post-snow
• Switchgrass — Seed-rich stems for sparrows
• River Birch — Early insects for warblers & chickadees

Another great one from Garden Success Tips 🌿✨

🌱 Plant now → welcome songbirds later!

We have such an incredible community of educators at / , and The Sacred Connection: The Umbilical Cord and Newborn Transition with Betsy is a very special part.

This class is a deep dive in the anatomy and physiology of the umbilical cord, the placenta, and how the newborn’s lungs transition at birth. We will learn about the risks of immediate cord clamping and some controversies around cord blood banking. We will also discuss strategies to separate the newborn and the placenta with consciousness and intention.

A bit about our teacher: Betsy has been attending births and working with herbal medicine since 2006. She has supported hundreds of families during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum as a midwife, doula, and childbirth educator. Betsy offers childbirth education, as well as one-on-one and group coaching, with a focus on questioning the hospital birth paradigm and helping clients make intentional choices around their provider and place of birth. Betsy believes in the transformative power of bodywork and herbal medicine. Her herbal medicine practice is based on simple remedies that offer powerful healing. Her massage practice integrates lymphatic and biodynamic craniosacral modalities with myofascial release, including massage for people with long covid and other chronic illnesses. She has a specialized protocol for people with brain fog and neurological degenerative diseases.

🌾✨ Garden Tip for a Healthier Ecosystem! ✨🌾

Before you tidy up the garden… pause! 🌬️🪶
Cutting stems now removes winter food, shelter, and next year’s pollinators.

🐝🌻 Leave those dried stems standing until spring — they’re tiny wildlife hotels for native bees, beneficial insects, and overwintering critters that keep your garden thriving.
Plus, they add beautiful winter texture to your landscape! ❄️🌾

👇 Tell us in the comments:
Do you leave your stems over winter or do you cut them back?
Have you spotted any pollinator nests in your garden?

Let’s get more people protecting the pollinators that protect us. 💛🐝
