Overview and Details of Ceremony

Wachuma (San Pedro cactus) Sacred Plant Medicine Ceremony in beautiful Pisac, in a secluded ceremonial garden (shade/rain protection, and bathroom access available), next to a running river and waterfall, and surrounded by spectacular 360 degree views of natural and archaeological beauty. An all day event. (Minimum participation 2 people for ceremony. Private ceremonies available, contact to reserve)

Cost: s/. 400 per person
Includes:
- Wachuma ceremony
- Fruit and drinking water for the afternoon
- Quinoa vegetable soup for dinner (vegan)
- Bonfire

Lodging at the ceremony site is available for an additional cost of s/.50 per guest

Note: It is required that participants remain with the group throughout the night as the effects of the medicine will last until bedtime and our shamanic practitioners are on-hand to address any concerns or needs until that time. The program is designed to allow each participant the full day to focus on the healing work, without having to devote any energy or concern for the logistics of travel, food, lodging (and interaction with people not in the medicine space). Sensitivity to potentially bothersome energies one may encounter while returning to the city or town is high-- staying at our guesthouse is a tranquil environment for the latter stage of the journey and throughout the night. It is recommended, but not required, to stay the night at the guesthouse the evening prior to ceremony, as a mandatory ceremony briefing will be conducted. If you choose not to stay the evening before, please arrive no later than 9:30am on the morning of ceremony at Casa Camacho Guesthouse in Pisac. IMPORTANT: Please bring with you:

- Full water bottle with a minimum 1 Liter volume (spring water available for refills)
- SUN PROTECTION!!! - wide brim hat, sunglasses & sunscreen (no less than SPF50). Cusco/Sacred Valley is located on 13.5 degrees south latitude (deep tropics) and at altitudes of 3000m+ above sea level (9,500 ft+). Equatorial Sun exposure coupled with high altitude can cause a severe sunburn in as little as 5 minutes for the fair of skin, and 15-20 minutes for those with darker complexions. Even if you consider yourself not easily sunburned, the strength of the Sun's rays here can easily, and painfully, take you by surprise.
- Clothing for heat, cold, and rain
You will be in the Andes: Dressing in layers is paramount!
- Warm, comfortable boots or shoes (plus sandals, optional). PREPARATION: Abstinence from pig products for 7 days prior to and after ceremony (longer period is recommended) ; abstinence from sex, red meats, preserved meats, excessively salty, sweet, or fatty foods for minimally 1 day prior to and after ceremony; abstinence from alcohol and other intoxicants for minimally 3 days prior to and after ceremony. With respect to alcohol and other recreational intoxicants, it is very beneficial (but not critical) to abstain for periods longer than 3 days before and after ceremony-- especially so with respect to recreational cannabis use. We will be fasting the morning of ceremony. Please hydrate well before arriving, and abstain from consuming any caffeinated or sweetened beverages. Fruit will be served in the afternoon, and soup dinner in the evening. DURING CEREMONY: the use of electronic devices and electronic music is not permitted; this is to offer you and the other participants the cleanest environment in which to meet the spirit of Wachuma. Whilst we appreciate the urge of some to bring musical instruments, we also ask that out of respect to all participants and facilitators, please refrain from playing during the ceremony. Around the fire in the evening, suitable acoustic music is appreciated, but we do also ask for consideration for those who are still processing their experiences of the day. When in doubt, ask your ceremony leader for permission. Please also refrain from taking group photos or posting images online unless you personally know and have permission of EVERY person in the image. A condition of attendance is to respect the energetic space and privacy of everyone participating in ceremony, including the facilitators. AGE: Our participants regularly range from 18 to healthy mid 70's. All participants must be of majority age (minors may participate with a consenting parent or guardian present). Out of respect to the facilitators and participants, the ceremony is not considered suitable for children. SAFETY NOTES: Those taking lithium, Chlorpromazine or other anti-psychotic medications, and those recently treated for self-harm or harm of others are not suited to participate in standard group ceremonies with Wachuma. Please contact if you have any of these special concerns and still feel called to heal with this medicine-- individually-tailored treatments may still be possible after consultation with shamanic practitioner. For those with serious or life threatening heart/hypertension disorders, the slightly accelerated heart rate common to Wachuma makes this inappropriate for participation in standard group ceremonies. Contact us for a consultation if this applies to you and you still feel called to work with Wachuma. Those taking SSRI antidepressant medications are strongly recommended to stop usage for 2 weeks prior to taking Wachuma, as these medications can severely diminish the effectiveness of the medicine. Greetings FB Medicine Family.

This is a very vulnerable post. I usually do not share my private life here on the platform, aside from my healing work, but my sister, Gina Marie GEORGETTi, and I are in a time of need and grief, and could use the kind support of many of you out there. Our story:

Our Mother, Anne Marie Georgetti (Luciani), recently passed away, leaving my sister and I with the huge responsibility of overseeing her funerary preparations and laying her to rest in a good way. Anne Marie passed suddenly on November 30th, 2022, after battling addiction, mental illness, and an ongoing string of physical ailments and calamities for 25 years. She had no life insurance nor any savings to her name whatsoever. Sadly, Anne Marie had alienated herself from her family and friends over the years due to the toxic nature of the illness that she struggled with for so long. As her last of kin, my lovely sister, Gina Marie, and I assumed the total cost of her cremation and funeral according to Mom's wishes, even though we ourselves had become estranged from her in recent years. I also incurred the exorbitant cost of airfare from Perú to the USA for a last-minute flight during the holiday season so that I could be present to say goodbye to our Mother in the way she wished, and to support my younger sister through this complex grieving process. Both Gina and I had already paid large sums of money this year for needed life things, and the sudden financial burden of a funeral and a 6000-kilometer trip back to the USA for me has left both of us with depleted savings. Although we were both happy to do this one last thing for our Mom in the physical world, it has come with high stress over the financial burden, which falls on top of the burden that one already goes through while grieving the loss of a parent- regardless of any shortcomings they may have had in life.

I humbly ask you to please assist us in recuperating some of the funerary and travel expenses that we paid to see Anne Marie's last steps in the physical world be carried out in a beautiful and good way. If you feel it in your heart to donate any sum of money to our cause, then we will be overjoyed and grateful. We know that Anne Marie, in her true soulful self, would never have wanted to overburden her children and make them pay for her mistakes. She will, no doubt, be grateful of your support of her and her children now, especially considering she had lost the support of so many loved ones along the way. We have always loved our Mother and have been grateful for her role in bringing us into this beautiful world and raising us in a good way during the formative years of our lives. And we love you, too. Thank you for your generosity, and may you be blessed as you make your way through the journey called 'Life'.

Ceremonia Medicinal con Wachuma (cactus San Pedro) en la hermosa Pisac, en un jardín ceremonial aislado (espacio con sombra, protección contra la lluvia y un baño con acceso disponibles), cercano a un río y a una cascada, rodeado de una espectacular vista de 360° de una belleza natural y arqueológica única. Un evento para todo el día. (Participación mínima de 2 personas para la ceremonia. Ceremonias privadas/íntimas disponibles, contáctese para reservar).

Costo/Precio: $100 USD por persona.

Incluye:

Ceremonia de Wachuma.

Frutas y agua para beber por la tarde.

PROTECCIÖN SOLAR!!! - sombrero de ala ancha, anteojos de sol y pantalla solar (no menor a Factor 30).

Cusco/El Valle Sagrado está ubicado a una altitud Sur de 13.5 grados (trópico intenso) y a una altitud de más de 3.000 metros sobre el nivel del mar. La exposición al Sol Ecuatorial sumada a la gran altitud puede causar severas quemaduras en tan solo 5 minutos en pieles claras, y entre 15 y 20 minutos para aquellos con piel más oscura. Incluso si consideras que no te quemas fácilmente, la fuerza de los rayos del Sol aquí pueden fácilmente (y dolorosamente) tomarte por sorpresa.

Ropa para el calor, el frío y la lluvia (un poncho impermeable es lo más recomendable. Son muy fáciles de conseguir en Cusco - Busca la marca Nikko (S/20 - S/30).

Estarás en Los Andes: vestirse en capas es primordial.

Botas o zapatillas deportivas (más sandalias, opcional).

PREPARACIÓN: Abstinencia de productos porcinos durante los 7 días previos y posteriores a la ceremonia (un período más largo es recomendado); abstinencia de s*xo, carnes rojas, carnes preservadas, exceso de sal y dulces o comidas grasosas durante al menos 1 día, antes y después de la ceremonia; abstinencia de alcohol y otros intoxicantes durante al menos 3 días antes y después de la ceremonia. Con respecto al alcohol y otros intoxicantes recreativos, es muy beneficioso (pero no crítico) abstenerse por períodos mayores a los 3 días antes y después de la ceremonia (especialmente con respecto al uso recreativo del cannabis).

Estaremos ayunando en la mañana de la ceremonia.

Por favor hidratarse bien antes de llegar, y abstenerse del consumo de bebidas cafeinadas o endulzadas. En la tarde se servirán frutas y por la noche sopa para la cena.

DURANTE LA CEREMONIA: el uso de dispositivos electrónicos y música electrónica no están permitidos; esto es para ofrecerte a ti y a los otros participantes el ambiente más limpio en el cual encontrarse con el espíritu del Wachuma. Si bien apreciamos la intención de algunos de traer instrumentos musicales, también pedimos respeto hacia todos los participantes y facilitadores, por eso por favor evita tocar durante la ceremonia. Alrededor del fuego en la noche, un poco de música adecuada y acústica es bienvenida, pero también pedimos tener consideración con aquellos que todavía estén procesando sus experiencias del día. Si estás en duda, pide permiso al líder de la ceremonia. Por favor también evita tomar fotos grupales o subir fotos a internet, a menos que tú personalmente conozcas y tengas permiso de CADA UNA de las personas en la foto. Una condición para la asistencia es respetar el espacio energético y privado de todos los que participen en la ceremonia, incluyendo a los facilitadores.

EDAD: Nuestros participantes regularmente tienen entre 18 y 70 años. Todos los participantes deben ser mayores de edad (menores pueden participar con el consentimiento de los padres o un tutor presente). Por respeto a facilitadores y participantes, la ceremonia no se considera adecuada para niños.

NOTAS DE SEGURIDAD: aquellos que consuman litio, clorpromazina u otros medicamentos anti-psicóticos, y aquellos recientemente tratados por auto-lesiones o daño hacia otros no son aptos para participar en ceremonias grupales estándar con Wachuma. Para aquellos con hipertensión o complicaciones con el corazón (serias o riesgosas para la vida), la ligera aceleración del ritmo cardíaco, común con Wachuma, los hace poco adecuados para participar de ceremonias grupales estándar. Contáctanos para consultar si esto aplica a ti y aún sientes el llamado a trabajar con Wachuma.

Se recomienda intensamente a aquellos que tomen medicamentos anti-depresivos, dejar de tomarlos 2 semanas antes de tomar Wachuma, ya que estas medicaciones pueden disminuir considerablemente la eficacia de la medicina.
