resting in the dreaming of winters long night, somewhere between samhain + springs ascendence, sensing the surge of the new quietly humming in the warmth of the soils embrace

looking back through the eyes of a woman i did not know i could summon, honouring the thresholds encountered last rotation, rites of passage journeyed through, patient persistence in tending the hearth of my heart, feeding it good fuel, beauty, + essence, whilst watching the flame of the future be kindled

a year of such indescribable duality, liberation from a cage of my own creation, winds of freedom on my path again, falling in love with this wild life over + over

the myth of inanna became my guide, a participatory pilgrimage in willingly losing identity + journeying with only essentiality, descent as devotion to truth, from confusion to clarity, illusion to reality

re-awakening to the beauty of life
re-invigorating the muse
re-learning the masculine

bowing to the invisible forces of life, the celestial web that weaves in ways i am humbled to catch only glimpses of understanding of

another year of walking with the plants, another rotation in awe + beauty, another dance of trust, faith + surrender along this pathless path, many lessons + so much growth

giving great thanks to the lands that have polished me like a diamond, forged + formed me, retrieved my spirit, golden light + eternal smile, clarified my heart vision, revealed truth + the path ahead

wrapping my love around those who have been by my side through laughter + tears, remembrance + celebration. those who have loved me back to life with presence, patience + protectorship like I have never known. i adore you

mountain spirits so big they can hold any process with their skilful presence, artistry of wonderment + true masculine force

under their steady gaze i returned to my queendom within, spending the majority of the last 5 months knelt in their embrace in practice, self commitment + inner altar tending, after a year long death spiral with a dark entity + learning the intimacy of grief

how could i begin to say thank you, how could i write poetry that could move the inner waters in the way these mountains have moved me, no letter of devotion could satisfy the lovers they became

to become intimate with
is to become witness to

in the reciprocity of our shared attention, stories unravelled, jewels in the centre of the lotus flower rose, the mountain provided such beauty, coherence, the sweet bounty of presence, and the simplicity of living with a rested mind, a healing body + regulated hormones

and now i walk in the light of remembrance

she’s not packaged and polished, she’s in your moon blood, the dirt under your finger nails, the sweat dripping down your back on your late night kitchen dance floor

she’s the one that drags you kicking and screaming to your next death spiral, the one that wills you through the darkest nights, for she has already foretold your rebirth

she’s your shame and your glory, she resides in your dark and in your light, she’s full spectrum you, and her only constant is her insatiable desire for the ever unfolding evolution of you

you won’t find temples devoted to her, you’ll have to dig to the core of the earth for scripture praising her name, and there are no longer nations raised in her honour

you’ll instead witness her in auspicious moments in nature, feel her watching over as inspiration drips from your fingertips, see her in the wisdom telling lines of a grandmothers face and know her spiral dance as your spine reawakens in remembrance of who and what you are

in time you’ll see her in the bloom of every flower and tear stained cheek, in the darkness before the dawn of the new day and in the glint of a sovereign woman’s eye

you’ll know her as the source of creation, preservation and destruction, she all is encompassing, she is every form, the space inbetween and that which has no name

between ache and awe she is there quietly breathing, serpent like between the seen and the unseen, drummer, drumbeat and the heart that beats in unison

there is nowhere and there is nothing that she is not

she is the cosmic source of all creation and you are the earthly embodiment of her

let us drink from the multidimensional well of you/her
