Northwestern Cagayan General Hospital successfully conducted a medical mission in Sitio Muru, Siguiran, Abulug under the “Handog ng Pangulo – Outpatient Services sa Komunidad.”

The activity was spearheaded by the Chief of Hospital, Dr. Jasmin Rose Umblas-Maladrigo, together with the Hospital Public Health Unit led by Dr. Jaceelyn Gumaru, with the full support of the hospital’s dedicated healthcare team.

The mission aimed to bring essential health services closer to the community, particularly to residents in remote and underserved areas. Free medical consultations, health assessments, and patient education were provided to ensure that families in Sitio Muru gain access to quality healthcare without the burden of distance or cost.

In line with the celebration of Generics Awareness Month this September, with the theme, "Ginhawang Generics, Ramdam ng Bawat Pilipino!", Northwestern Cagayan General Hospital advocates and promotes the use of generic drugs.

Significant advantages offered from using generic drugs include substantially lower cost at achieving the same generic equivalence as branded drugs and greater accessibility or availability. Raising awareness not only ensures cost-effectiveness measures but it also fosters healthy consumer practice by encouraging the public to make informed decisions in choosing affordable, safe and effective generic drugs.

“World Su***de Prevention Day!”

Yesterday, the senior high school students of Abulug National Rural & Vocational High School came together for an inspiring and heartfelt event organized by the Northwestern Cagayan General Hospital’s dedicated Public Health Unit (PHU) in observance of World Su***de Prevention Day.
The activity included an informative lecture by Dr. Dixie del Rosario, shedding light on the importance of mental health awareness, addressing critical topics like understanding su***de prevalence, recognizing early warning signs, and empowering individuals with actionable prevention strategies.

The engaging lecture was followed by an interactive Q&A where students bravely voiced their questions, fostering a safe space for open dialogue and learning. One of the most moving moment was having the student poured their hearts into writing heartfelt messages—expressing emotions, sharing encouragement, and offering support to one another through a Pledge Wall. Each note became a colorful testament to resilience, unity, and the power of kindness.

This impactful activity not only educated but also connected our youth through empathy and solidarity.

LIBRENG IMPLANON INSERTION!

Progestin-only Subdermal Implant

Handog ng Northwestern Cagayan General Hospital Family Planning Program ang libreng pagpapakabit ng Implanon. Isang ligtas, epektibo, at pangmatagalang paraan ng family planning mula September 8-12,2025.

Ano ang Implanon?

Ang Implanon ay isang uri ng progestin-only subdermal implant na inilalagay sa ilalim ng balat ng braso. Isa itong ligtas, epektibo, at pangmatagalang kontraseptibo na maaaring magbigay proteksiyon laban sa hindi planadong pagbubuntis nang hanggang tatlong (3) taon.

Para sa mga nais magpalagay:

• Bukas ito para sa mga babaeng nais magkaroon ng ligtas at maaasahang family planning method.
• Siguruhing magtungo sa Northwestern Cagayan General Hospital sa itinakdang petsa.

• May libreng counseling at screening bago ang procedure upang matiyak na akma ito sa inyong kalusugan.
