In celebration of Women’s Month, a successful Pap Smear Screening activity was conducted today at the Angadanan Integrated Community Hospital, providing essential reproductive health services to women in Angadanan.
Prior to the procedures, a health education session was conducted to inform participants about the importance of cervical cancer screening, proper reproductive health practices, and early detection of diseases. This helped empower the women with knowledge and encouraged them to actively take part in maintaining their health.
The activity was performed by three dedicated Obstetrician-Gynecologists who are proud natives of Angadanan—Dr. Mailyn Tallera Panganiban , Dr. Maria Vida Lappay Fuguiao, and Dr. Ulyrose Castillo .
A total of 80 women were served during the activity, receiving comprehensive care that included Pap smear screening, pelvic examination, and breast examination. This initiative aimed to promote early detection and prevention of cervical and breast-related conditions, reinforcing the importance of regular health check-ups among women.
The activity was spearheaded by Dr. Princess Faith P. Penetrante, whose leadership ensured the smooth and organized delivery of services. This meaningful undertaking was made possible through the support of the Local Government Unit of Angadanan under the leadership of Hon. Joelle Mathea Panganiban whose continued commitment to women’s health brings vital services closer to the community.
